Actually, it is a fact that every parent is unconditionally proud of their kids.. But what really makes you proud as a parent? as for me, I really feel proud of my daughter with everything she does that makes her really special.. My daughter is very active, she is not shy unlike me when I was a kid, and she really is a smart girl. I feel proud every time I see her name tops in school.. I feel proud every time somebody tells her that she is pretty and cute.. And mostly I feel proud when she shows us (her parents)how much she loves us.. NOW LET ME ASK..IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR DAUGHTER MAKE YOU PROUD?

I have a daugther and a son. My son is my little baby. My daughter is my oldest (7) While a have a special place in my heart for my son because we went through some tough medical times together, my daughter impresses me every day. I am so proud of the way she watches out for me and her little brother who is 5. I am so proud at the student she has already become. This summer she did a broadway camp, she was so disappointed that she did not have a solo, but I was proud when she said, "that's ok, I have a whole song about me" When I went and saw the performance, I was so proud I cried. She opened the play and had the most lines. She is absolutely amazing, and I hope that I mean as much and impress her as much as she does me.

Hi Amy, Thanks for your response to this discussion.. It was nice to know how your kids make you proud.. My daughter is the only one we have right now, and I sometimes think if she'll be glad to have a sibling someday.. Well I just hope that if she does have a sibling, she'll also take care of the baby brother/sister.. I think you have a very talented and loving kid..

hahaha annavi, you know cecil right? She told me we kinda look alike way back in highschool.. My kid is kind.,though at times she is being bullied by her classmates.. maybe because she doesn't fight back, and I don't want her fighting back. But she sometimes cry because of that.. She doesn't want enemies... I just tell her it's ok baby, if they bully you, just don't mind them. They are just insecure! Hahahah! So far I am enjoying my stay here..I have earned less than a dollar. But it's okay.. =) Keep smiling..

Thanks jaiho for your response..Your daughter is really very talented, and I can see you are really very proud of her.. Just like me, evrything about my daughter makes me proud.. and I guess that's the essence of being a mom. That we become proud with everything our kids does..And if kids do think they are lucky to have parents like us, they should also know that we are MORE PROUD to have them in our life..

As you already said, a parent should be unconditionally proud of their children and I am this with my daughter - even more so I think as my own mum never told me she was proud of me until I graduated! It isnt een the big things which make me specifically proud of my daughter - its the small things too, such as how polite she is already at two, the fact that she has started to learn to write her name, when she looks after someone who is upset, the way she has grown in confidence this past year at toddler groups and around others...I could list forever!

Hi elfbwillow, Thanks for responding to this discussion.. I am so happy that many has responded to this topic, and I am glad to know how each of us parents here appreciate every little thing that our child does. As my memory affords, my parents too, don't always tell me that they're proud of me, though I can see it clearly with their actions and that I am very much contented already.. I am pretty sure that almost every parent gets proud of their children in so many ways, even if we both happen to be alike that they don't often tell us that,in return, what I do with my child is that I always tell her what I feel, and always remind her that she is very special and brilliant.. It does a lot of help in her personality and I can see that clearly.. Thanks again..

I have two daughters and I'm really proud of them. Proud that they are growing up as good kids and understanding that mommy has to work. They make me proud by doing good in school. And them being kind and friendly to other kids too.

Hi akn, Thanks for responding.. I also used to refer to my family as "My Life" because they are indeed my life.. I'd go crazy if i won't be with them..I'm like you because whenever my daughter gets sick, I just pray to God that He let me be the one to suffer the sickness and not my daughter. May I ask how old are your daughters? I only have 1 daughter and she's 4.

My daughter is 3. I am proud of her because she is so polite. She asks please and thank you. She is so smart and funny and so pretty, I love when people tell me how cute she is. So is her looks and some is her personality she is just so happy and a pure joy. She brightens many peoples days. I melt when she tells me randomly that she loves me. She is pretty good at sharing and pretty good at listening to me, most of the time. She is the biggest joy in my life. My life is so complete with her in it.

Hi Pastigger, Thanks for your response..I think our daughters have similarities..They both are very lovable and cute..My daughter too never gets tired of saying the words "I LOVE YOU" to us..Whenever she feels like saying it, she does..And she never forgets to say "Thank YOu" and even "Excuse Me". I love her dearly and I refer to her and her Dad as My Life. I am very glad many responded to this discussion..Thank you again..

Well I think your parents are really proud of you Dionabel.. Parents deserve our love and care and they would be very happy to see that they have raised a child like you who they can depend on when they get old.. Continue doing your good deeds..and i'm sure when it is your time to be a parent, you'll harvest the same, or even better..
