When I closed shop over a year ago and a sister died unexpectedly, I didn't know what to do then. I started surfing the net and finally found one that I will ejnoy doing. I started watching koreanovela and got to know almost all the good korean acresses and actors. Later I switched to some chinovela and just enjoyed the same. How about you, do you watch these also?

I've been following Koreanovelas and Chinovelas since they started. Chinovelas started way back when there we still betamax rentals. We had to rent them in Chinatown because cables are not so popular then. Now, they're just too many to follow so I just make sure I concentrate on 2 or 3 per week. Or else, I would have mixed up all the stories in my head. :)

Hi wannaberich, Yes before I normally watched 3 at a time because I watched them thru the internet. Now I stopped for a while because there are no good ones except Summer Desire starring Barbi Hsu.

I'm familiar with this genre. I got my first taste of it from Meteor Garden. Actually, I worked for a publication way back in the late 90's and we have a fortune teller who told us that these kind of TV series will become a hit in the near future. I think it is only a logical progression when most of the channels before were showing Mexican soap operas then. Okay, back to business. I got reacquainted with the Koreanovelas and Chinovelas when our cable was cut due to - ahem - nonpayment hehehe. Since there's nothing to see on TV I just stuck it out with some of them. I particularly liked "I Love You", "My Lucky Stars, and "Magic Taste". I think they are reruns or something. :D

I also enjoy koreanovela. Our local channels is never without at least 1 koreanovela with KPop (Korean Pop) on the boom here. I just notice that most koreanovelas have sad endings like a lead character or both lead characters dying.

Yes they usually die of cancer. It's so sad that sometimes you hope it won't happen. I normally look for comedy that's why i loved City Hall with Kim Sun ah. I have also watched the epic Queen Seon Deok, loved it.
