My problem today: how to get rid of rats?

Hmm for you i can give you one solution buy rat poison and follow the instruction then sure they won't come again and one more suggestion is cat. You should have a cat in your house so that rat will automatically go out of your house.

...I intensily suggest you to keep a cat..! really keep a cat can slove a lot of problem..now in my room I keep one.and after this no rats or bad insect anymore,even bat won't come to my home anymore..haha and I think to keep a cat is clean and easy,yeah,!you can teach her to do pee or pull in the toilet and will make more easy to deal with~~..if you have problem of keeping a cat I will help you at any time you want .! hope you slove your rats problem soon!!

take away their food the main reason they are there is that they find food,,seal all things than can be a food to them..clean every drawer and throw things that you don't need..

We don't have that problem because my husband likes to take care of cats. His cat is very good in catching rats, he is also doing our neighbors a favor by catching their rats too.Another good thing is that we have trained her to do her thing outside the house so we don't have to worry about cleaning up after her

its very easy to prepare. you just make a poison of zinc phosphide. you can buy it in any stores. in preparing it, you have to be careful coz its a poison and mix with food. or if theres mice you place flypaper for them to stick on it.

Try buying rat poison and put them at corners. Try mixing it with real food so that the rats would eat it. Aside from that, you can buy papers that makes things/animals stick when they touch the glued surface. That's the best solution I did to get rid of those rats. All I have to do is put the glued paper anywhere and place food at the center, when rats crawl and touch the glued surface, they stick and remain there for hours. Best of luck

tess the safest and in the long run perhaps cheapest is to get an exterminator and let them do a professional job as poisons are just not safe if you have children or pets. exterminators are not that espensive and rats do carry horrid diseases too.

These rats must hide in some hole in your room ,so you can put the poison mixd with food near the hole.

You have to investigate where they're coming from. If there are holes somewhere, cover them up. Also, make sure that there are no garbage or food in the open. These rats are invited by those.

They are quite a nuisance in the house. If we know we have big ones, then it's better to use a mouse trap. You have to put some food inside the trap so you could lure them in. But if they're just small ones, sticky paper would get them. Just place them along places where they usually pass. Or you can also try to buy rat poison. Just make sure you don't place them where your pets or kids can reach them.

How animal shelters get rid of rats is by putting out two bowls one of mash potato flakes and one of water. They will eat the flakes then drink the water then their bellies swell up and they die. Animal advocates claim that this a nicer way to kill rats then poison but I think it sounds kind of cruel to me but it does work if you try it. It is safer than poison if you have pets or kids around.
