hot weather

In the US and in many parts of the world it has been the hottest year on record. How are you coping with these extremely hot temperatures? AS for myself, I am staying in the air conditioning for as much of the day as possible, and also going swimming alot.

Our weather here in the uk at the moment is terrible!! It is warm but, raining every day nearly and makes it so depressing - every day I have had off work I hope it will be sunny so I can enjoy my time off but, it never is!! x

I am staying in my computer room with myone room air air conditioner and I have ceiling fans. My dog stays very close to me and is taking a nap. I am making sur my outdoor cat have plenty of water and treat them to canned cat food.

I live in a state that has been really hot this summer. I have found myself not wanting to be outside at all.
I much prefer to stay indoors in the air conditioning. I hardly even want to be outside to go swimming.
The weather does not seem to bother my son and his friends, they seem to deal better with the heat than adults.

I try to go out only in the AM or in the evening. I can't take it when the temp is 100 degrees or close to it. because in Virginia we also have the humidity.

During the really hot times over here in the desert I thought I was dying. We have a swamp cooler which last year worked great. This year I just thought it was too hot to work. One day my husband told me by accident that he knew why it didn't work, one of the panels wasn't letting water go through. I was so upset because all this time he knew and didn't fix it. The next day I tried to work on it but couldn't fix it. By the time he got home he found it unassembled so he had to fix it. Now we are doing a whole lot better. We had been hitting three digit figures around here but now it's back to two digits which I could handle.

hmm had to ask my boyfriend what a swampcooled ac was. what ever works for you. I'm glad the temps are now where you can handle them.

Here in middle east the temperature is also hot.So i just stay also at my room and feel the cold air of my air conditioning. I'm just go outside for office purpose and to buy some of the personal needs.

Yes, indeed, this is a very unusual year, weather-wise. I have to keep the air-conditioner on all the time, in my car, in my office, and in my house. Places like India are also having heat waves, I hear, very much extreme and unbearable. It is indeed amazing !

It's already starting to rain here in the Philippines but when it was still hot as hell, we'd go to malls and hang out there. We didn't wanna increase our bills by using the aircondition. Lol.
