Transfer News: Real Madrid signs Ricardo Carvalho from Chelsea!!

Another interesting bit of transfer news is that Carvalho is moving to Real Madrid from Chelsea. I think Carvalho has been the best Chelsea defender over past year, especially when Terry had a torrid time over the personal issues. His move to Real will leave a gaping hole in the Chelsea defense. On the other hand, for Real that is another defensive signing after Maicon. May be the sign of things to come at Real!! Cheers! Ram

I feel like such a ditz! Thanks for your patience. So Chelsea's lost is Real's gain. Will this player gel with his team mates? Are Real and Chelsea sworn enemies?

No they are not sworn enemies just yet. But the ex-Chelsea manager who had recruited Carvalho in the first place for Chelsea is the manager now at Real Madrid. So in a way Carvalho is going to work for his old boss again. Cheers! Ram

He is a great defender and also a calm player which is so important but I feel a change will do him good. He is starting to age a little and this might be his last chance to really move out and play in another league. I just wonder who will replace him as his experience and skill is hard to match.

What I enjoyed about him was even though there were rumors he was going to leave after the "chosen one" departed he stayed and gave Chelsea his best and in return they let him leave and earn more before retiring as I do sense that is in the near future.

YA,one of the predicted news...since in inter milan, mou is always seeking his one of the favourite players. ricardo carvalho. in mind of mou, carvalho is one of the best defender..

i think it's one of mourinho's affects there. yeah guys, he is one of good defensive players in premiere league. madrid would be stronger now, because we know madrid's weakness is in the defender. happy mylotting guys.

Many players seems wanna go from Chelsea. What's wrong with that? Mourinho wanna get young players defender from other clubs.Maicon maybe to old for Mou strategy.But i'm sure that Mou has another plan to fix Madrid Defence.

Yes, the Mourinho brigade now want to exit the Stamford Bridge. Also there seems to be some politics which is getting played at Stamford Bridge. The exit of Joe Cole and Ballack point to that. Cheers! Ram

Real Madrid is known to sign the attacking superstars. With Mourinho at helm, one can be sure that he will shore up the defence as well. He is good at that. And I agree that the best team will have the best defence.
