Power and a Dream

As a child I wanted to be able to fly; not an unusual child's dream. Later, I wished to fly away, ha! And still later, decades gone by, I still yearn to fly. And now my dream is to spread a bit o' sunshine all over the world to those who might have need for a heartwarming dream of their own. Fortunately, the computer has allowed me to do just that, in spirit, so I sort of feel as though I've fulfilled my desire to possess the power of flight.
How about you? What super power would you like to possess? Has that wished-for power changed over the course of your life? And right now, what would you do with your super power?

I have been through a lot of unpleasant things and my desire is to be able to help others that are/have gone through some of the same things. My desire is to be used by God and let Him direct me to people that are hurting. I want to be there for them. I have always been "caught in the middle" of things and been the "Middle Girl" to help try to fix things. I hope I can continue to be there for my friends around me and online. When I was little, I think I also wanted to fly. I remember having dreams of going into far away places. Now, my job in a way, lets me fly and go to different places.
If you ask me now, what superpower I would like, I would want to read people's minds. That would be an awesome trick. Not only will it help me gain financially, it would also help me avoid a lot of stress and confrontations!
I agree that your user name already spreads a bit o' sunshine everywhere virtually!

Hmmm... maybe you wished to fly so deeply that your dream came true with your job making you airborne! I'm not too sure I'd like to read people's minds, as I might not want to know what many are thinking about, ha! It would be OK if I could turn the power on and off at will.

brings backs memories of me thinking I could just flap my arms fast enough and fly LOL
I used to jump off my grandma's porch all the time....I think I really did fly....a little :)

Ha! I remember doing that, too, Marsha! And I "flew" off the doghouses and out of the lower branches of trees I'd climbed. So, do you still wish to fly?

Me I like "telepathy". I love communicating even to weird things..
I'd like to know the feeling of trees, mountains, rocks and plants. And because of this I am inclined to planting trees. I love to be in nature.

Oh, I like your answer! And the purity of your selected power lies in the fact you use it in such a positive manner. I wrote a poem once about eavesdropping on a conversation between the trees during a walk in the woods. I've always imagined tree conversations; I'm sure nature has many words of wisdom to share with those of us who listen.

I think you have the sweetest dream. A little bit of sunshine can go a long way. =)
As a child, I also wished I could fly and touch the clouds.
I also wished I could breath underwater and be one with the fishes.
I am not sure if I can use those powers now. I haven't thought about it in a while. Although, it would be really great if these powers can help in creating a better world for our future generations.

Sorry to hear you're so unhappy with life at the moment. I think most of us can identify with that feeling. I find when life seems to dish out the worst, if I spend a bit of time consoling others, well -- it's just amazing how much better my outlook on my own troubles becomes.
