For me personally, my favorite old mythology and society is that of the Egyptians. I simply adore everything egyptian, I think it is all very cool and mysterious. I like reading about the Egyptian gods, and the egyptian writing is very cool as well. :D I also like how everything has a certain style to it and encorporates a lot of gold and black.

I am from Denmark and when I was in elementary school we learned a lot about the Norse mythology. I was a child at that time and I loved hearing the different stories about the Gods etc. I still remember some of them. In high school we learned about the Greek mythology, I found that interesting as well, but the Norse mythology is probably my favourite mythology. My husband has a book about the Norse mythology and I plan on reading more the topic one day.

There are so many interesting cultures out there, it is really hard to figure out where to begin. I can study these things day in and day out. I would have to go with Greek mythology. Just all of the stories that are there, there can be a lot of interesting history. In that same vain, Romans as well. And I enjoy Egyptian mythology as well. Really, if it is interesting enough, I will likely enjoy studying it. There are a lot of great things out there to study. Really, I cannot spend enough time looking at all of the various forms of mythology that the world has to offer. History is a rich tapestry. Of course, I doubt that this current time will be considered to be one of study, but who knows, centuries down the line, people will want to study the long lost civilizations that might vanish. Its hard to believe it will but then again, who knows.

The term "myth" is often used colloquially to refer to a false story. so dont say mythology, they might be of great scientific values, researches are still continuing on the historic religions.there are so many myths too. my intrest is in studying about the religions in their true sense

Mythology more often refers to the religious beliefs of an ancient culture. But many times a persons belief is considered a falsehood or myth. I don't consider Mythology to be a falsehood, it was the way ancient people believed.

I have a current love affair with Greek mythology and culture. The Olympian gods have this really fascinating story line. The Greeks created this gods to be so similar to human, in that they have complex emotions and are fallible despite being gods. I think it was their way of making sense of humanity.

I have never really been been into mythology, but if I had to choose one to study, I would probably choose Egyptian mythology as well. I have studied Egyptian history in a couple of history classes I took in the past, and some of it was actually pretty interesting...

Yes, it is fascinating how ancient cultures believed, especially that of the celts or druids.

My favorite would be Greek Mythology. I am fascinated with the stories of the Gods and Goddesses. Whether it was true or not, their stories are full of intrigue and action.

Any religion should be regarded as someone's belief just like we believe in God but maybe in the far future they will call that a myth.

I like to read authors who take mythology and to show how it could be some truth to it. A good Book that does that is "Worlds in Collision"

hmm, those are always interesting as well. :D Like I was recently watching a program on History Channel about different old civilizations, but adding in the possibility of aliens having to do with all the different carvings, and buildings, etc. Like that of pyramids, the aerial carvings in the desert (forgot wat its called). And It was interesting how they linked everything together.

I love mythology from Greece, and some country from Europe from 8th to 16th century where many territories are led by king or queen.

I love reading mythology i don`t know which one is my favourite, but i know my favourite theme in all of the mythologies. I really like to know about all mythological monstrers and creatures. Maybe in the end my favourite mythology is also Egyptian like you. I`m not sure that they have many monsters and creatures, but they have very interesting gods, they are one of the oldest nations on earth and they have really interesting ways of leaving. I think that they are one of the most intelegent ancient people.
