Writing a biography

I am writing a book about my life, yet I have found its easier for me to write the book as if I was looking through someone elses eyes, does anyone else do this? To me its so much easier for me to do it this way then for me to do it, if I say I did this or I did that. To me its easier for me to say that Little Hilda went to the store with grandpa, rather then I went to the store with Grandpa. Do you think its going to be ok if I do my book that way?

There is a tendency when trying to tell a story using the personal pronoun, I, to be narrating stuff that are merely in your head and involves no action or outward physical manifestation. For instance, if you use the first person point of view, you'll be tempted to say "I'm happy" rather than describing in detail what being happy looks as a series of physical actions. This is not the case with a detached point of view because technically, there is no narrator. The readers will have to immerse themselves by following the actions of the actors or characters of the story. Incidentally, I noticed this problem of the "introvert" story when I tried adding a kind of "about me" section to my blog publication. I wanted to tell a story of a blogger (i.e., me) and telling it using the first person pronoun will practically turn the story into some kind of personal opinion piece. Anyway, I've made a conscious decision to follow storytelling techniques. But it's more about readability and likability rather than ease of writing. P.S. Here's the link to A "Blogger Guy" Story for my initial solution to a storytelling problem: http://hannibal-bawagan.blogspot.com/2010/03/blogger-guy-story.html

I like that blogger, it sounds about the way that I write, and may I add that is a great peace. I believe that sometimes when we write it through someone elses eyes, it really effects people more.

I don't see why not. Be creative! =) For me , I do not find it easier to write from the 3rd person point of view. I was just thinking last night that the words flow far more eloquently when I write as though I'm conversing with someone. Just saying. I'm sure we all have our own way of writing =)

To me, I think its because it gets pretty personal so therefore its easier for me to feel like I am writing about someone else rather then my own horrible times.
