My husband and I like to have guests over. We enjoy cooking special dishes for guests and spend time. We also visit our friends' houses. We both like to do experiments in cooking and most of the time they come out well. We like to try our new dishes on guests. Do you invite friends over to your house?

I understand you. I think people understand that. No guest prefer to stay at a friend's or relative's house. I love to cook for guests. It is nice to talk to people. A house makes sense only when there are people in the house and other people visit the people living in the house. It is nice.

Believe me daliaj There are guests in my house atleast 10days a month, guests go to homes where the get good treatment, good food, my parents had this habit of treating guests, and i have inherited that, we have a say in hindu religion, that says 'guest is another form of god ' Me and my wife visit friends homes and we get the same treatment.. Thanks for sharing. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY Cheers. Professor

Hi daliaj, we seldom have guests at our house. My husband and my friends like to meet us at outside. There are lots of varieties delicious local food of different races are served at the outlets as well as stalls. We are not good in cooking yummy food and we enjoy having foods and beverages with friends together at the food court by the side of a beautiful lake. We always have fun chatting, joking, eating happily there at night time. We don't have to worry to tidy and to wash the big pile of used dishes later My husband's sisters and their respective family would visit us one or more times once a year. His forth sister and her husband are good in cooking and sometimes they would prepare homemade food. If we take them to visit scenic sites we usually would eat out. Sometimes we get some take away signature foods here and enjoy them at home Happy posting

Hi Daliaj, I love cooking too not only for my family but also for friends. i am not so much into inviting them to come over. i appreciated the thought of them coming over for a surprise visit and in return i cook or prepare something special for them. it's good to have weekend get together with relatives and friends and enjoy some chat over a great meal.

Yes, I do, and I do it frequently too. It is really fun, unless they stay for way too long or something, but that almost never happens!

Yeah, I would like friends to come my home to meet me. We can talk so much and share with each other.

My husband and I still live with his parents, and while we can have friends over (and one can spend the night) we generally find we aren't doing this much anymore. The reason being is that he works, and I stay at home and work online... We've not much time for ourselves in this way.
