You have to hand it to me...

I just told someone that I have big hands. In fact I don't. I take a woman's size in rings. Does it matter how big our hands are? Do you even notice?

Why would u have told that if it wasn't true to start with. I don't think hand size is what people worry about, lol. Happy monday to u.

Hi, ANTIQUELADY! I have to say, I wondered myself why you would say you had big hands when you don't. Metaphor maybe? Keep you hands around a lot of things?

As long as you have hands and they are capable of doing what you want with them, it doesn't matter what size they are. TATA.

I've always been "small" - so I have noticed that my hands have always been smaller than everyone else's. I remember in school everyone used to place their hands on mine and compare - and yep - my hands were always WAY smaller. I'm a small person, what can I say - and I am aware of that!

Nothing wrong with being small. I have a good friend here who is 4' tall and has the biggest heart imaginable.

Wow - I am actually taller than your friend - ha ha!! It's rare that I could ever make a statement like that - hee hee!! I do find that some small people have big hands though! But in my case, I definitely have small hands!

I just seen that comment. But no I don't think a persons hand size counts. It is what they do or are willing to do with them that counts. But it is always good to have big shoulders too..

I'll look at a man's hands more intensely than I'll check out his butt. There's just something about hands. But, if they're way small or grotesquely big, I might not find as much interest in them. As with other things, it doesn't matter unless it's extreme in either direction.

I have a woman's hands and a pert bottom apparently. I'm not complaining about either. Come and give me a squeeze sometime. My hand of course... what did you think? LOL.

Well I guess I never notice....guess I am busy looking at someone's face to notice if they have big hands or not. As long as we keep them busy and productive....then no matter the size!

I honestly don't notice hand size in any person. It's not something I think about. I'm more focused on the face, really. Eyes, smile, etc. And of course the body as a whole. Hands, specifically, not so much. I don't think it really matters, either. I mean, hands are hands. They serve the same function regardless of size. So I realy don't think it's a big issue at all. I never even considered it until seeing this discussion.

Always did think you were a big girly. It depends what you want to do. If you want to put your hand into a mouse hole, they need to be small but carrying a big log might need bigger hands. If your hands work I can't see that it matters what size they are.

I don't have big hands. Just a chubby pair. I don't really care much about a man's hands, but I can't help noting a man's shoe size. Well you know how they always associate it with a man's .......

I have small hands and I quite like that fact. It means that I can fit them into tight places that other men cannot! My hands are fairly soft these days, but they used to be a lot harder when I worked on cars for a living. I have quite strong hands for their size due to handling my tool...I mean working with tools over the years!

Usually, the hands and the feet correspond, ie, small hands, small feet; big hands, big feet. And of course you know what they say about the size of a man's feet...

I almost always notice hands, although it's not usually the size that I'm looking at. I'm more apt to notice dirty fingernails, and whether a person has moons on all of his (or her) nails. What I really look at though are ears. Have you ever noticed that the longer you look at them, the funnier they are?

hi pikey no it should not matter at all what size either men or women's hands are. As long as you can still use them to do the things you want to do it should not matter at all. The only time I ever noticed someone's hands was this lady who sat next to me in Church one Sunday. I handed her a hymnal and the size of her hands startled me. I must have overstared as she turned red and turned her head. I wanted to apologize but what could I day, I mean I am sorry I stared at your really big hands? uh huh. do not think so,lol. Usually I never notice anyone's hands at all. Sometimes I see people with very long slim fingers and wonder if they are either a surgeon or a pianist. My hands look careworn but heck I am 84 and I spent many years having to wash my hands a zillion times a day as I worked in a hospital. but then our hospital never had a breakout of staph bacteria like some of the biggest hospitals around do today. A lot of doctors and nurses now days do not wash their hands between patients which is odd as its posted in hospital rooms all over the state of California. wash your hands between handling patients.

Over here every hospital room and corridor has a wash dispenser. I visited an Oxford College last week that had one on the outside of the restaurant!

Here in Canada, too, pikey. In the hospitals here at every entry/exit door there is a 'sanitizing station' and in every hallway, every so many feet. SARS outbreaks in the past made them mandatory. Hi Hatley! HUGS!

Before hands there are other things that the size is more important to me. Eyes for example I love huge eyes that seem to be aware of eveything that is going on. As long as hands are clean and gesticulate rather than being stuffed into pockets, the size is not of great importance.
@p1kef1sh (45640)
15 Aug 10
Mine go into my pockets when it's very cold here. I was always told not to gesticulate but I know that I do. Where you are the men are crazy for expressing themselves with their hands.

Here they wear gloves (and scarfs) when it's cold. They need their pockets for all the other gear that they carry around with them Indeed most of them have mastered the art extremely well and can even get their point across without uttering a sound
