There is a good thing and bad thing when we get caught in endless traffic jam. when we are free traffic jam is the most funny moment during travelling by having small chats with our fellow men especially in bikes. the worst thing is during our busy timing. it is really disgusting. sometimes we may think of getting down from the car and reaching our destination by walk itself.... reading newspapers, music having small chats with our fellow travellers are good time killing ways in endless traffic jam.

As of late, I've been listening to audio books loaded on my itouch. Yes, it's the easiest way to catch up on my reading and not strain my eyes. You absorb as much knowledge, discovered that your sense of hearing could also stimulate your imagination. Audio books, I'm such a big fan now!

Yes, I put on the music. I start listening to music while I am in a traffic jam, or I listen to the traffic report, but since I have lived in California for so many years, I have found many ways of avoiding traffic jams and learning how to use to streets to get me to where I need to be if I think that the traffic is too bad.

I love to put the windows down, plug in my iPod and crank the music! It seems to help me pass the time without getting too angry ;) If I don't have my iPod, then I usually call someone. Other than that, I don't think there is too much else to do without getting too distracted!

When caught at the middle of a traffic and your just commuting instead of entertaining your irritation towards the traffic which will definitely of no help the first thing to do is to sleep...or just rest my eyes especially after a days work. But of course don't over sleep. But be alert also on the people around you.

hmm if i would be stuck in traffic, basically there is nothing more i can do, right than to wait for the traffic tobe cleared at least for our ride to go on... if i am stuck in the traffic with my bf we would typically just chat, and listen to good music.. and chat some more.. etc. i think that would take our mind off the traffic issues, so less stress for us.

Hi dear, Many are happy with mobile games or songs. In such cases, I will be extremely angry - I don't know why? I will curse the system of the roads, I will think of improving the traffic systems, or if anyone around I will discuss and try to get some relax by unloading my anger with the one around. If no one, I just will be impatient and restless. Regards, Thank-s

I listen to music that I like and sing along with it. I play games on my cellphone, and if possible talk to a friend. Time passes quickly when you're busy

I always encounter such kind of traffic conjestion as the traffic on the roads in Hong Kong is very busy especially during peak hours. During traffic jams, I usually think about some of the knowledge that I had learnt during the day and I sometimes try to think about my artwork during this boring period of time. I find this quite useful as I can focus a lot during this boring time and I can get some ideas or insights if I try to look around or outside to the streets. The people and the buidings around can usually help me to do that as what the people are wearing or using and the buildings have all been designed by great artists before they are made or sold. Therefore, this can usually help me a lot in getting new ideas for my artwork. Therefore, though traffic jams are very annoying, especially when you are in a hurry, I sometimes quite like them as they help me to have some progress in my work.

dear sir, like many other people,I also have experienced congestion,I think there are many ways to kill time while waiting in the endless traffic jams. 1,if you are a student, you can read books, learn a foreign language and recite the words and also you can review the courses the teachers talked yesterday the during the traffic jams.I think that is perfect and it is not a waste of time for your study. 2,if you are a office worker, you can read books to improve your professional ability, listen to music to relax yourself for the heavy job.During the congestion you can also arrange for your work schedules,it is so convenient for you to work and you will not be in a rush. 3,if you are a young people, you can use this time to give a call to your girfriend or a boyfriend to chat, and you also send a good message to your parents say"have a good day,I love you" 4,if you are a houswife, you can read many books about fostering children, and give a call to your babysitter to arrange the dinner ahead of time, when you reach home, you can cook.In spite of you are out of your house, but also you can arrange your housework freely. That is all, thank you!

I think I already encountered this kind of discussion. Anyway, I used to listen to music on my phone while waiting for the traffic to move. And sometimes I watch people passing by, it is interesting to see what they are doing, and when I'm in college I used to read books or read my reviewers so I used my time wisely while waiting for the traffic lights to go green. :-)
