I noted how much people care about the opinion of others. For some it is extremely important what others think of them. We always want to leave the best impression possible and we are very happy when the other shares that good impression with us. So what I'm asking you is... What do you consider to be the best compliment someone has ever made you? For me, it was when an old boyfriend told me that "i'm not the kind of person you fall in love with at first sight, but at second sight". He saw past the "covers" and appreciated more what he found beyond them and that made it for me the best compliment ever. What about you? What is the best compliment you ever got and from who?

The best compliment I ever got was one of my guy friends telling me that his best friend was the most intelligent guy he knew and he wanted me to debate with him about something because he knew I could handle the challenge. I felt pretty smart that day =)

Hello, munchie :) I really have to ask this...why are you glad about the fact you look younger? You are young! From what I read in your profile, you're only 20 :) I never thought someone can actually be happy about this at our age. Most of the persons in my generation want to look older, not younger. Which reminds me. A lot of people still think I'm about 17-18 when they see me the first time...I hate this part because I still have to show ID when I buy myself a drink or go to a club and it's really getting annoying :) On the other hand, maybe at 30 I'll look like I'm 25, which is a god thing. Anyway, happy myloting and I say you should enjoy your age and all the benefits it brings!I think we can only be happy living in the present and looking towards the future

I think the best compliment I ever received was from an elderly lady. I was visiting with her because she knew my grandmother. As we questioned each other she smiled and said, "So you are just like your grandmother" that was the greatest compliment I have ever gotten in my life!

Hello macdingolinger! Thank you for sharing this with us. It's indeed a great compliment to be compared with a person you admire and love. Though in my opinion, each person is unique and when i hear such a compliment addressed to me, i often wonder if that person compared faults or qualities :)) Maybe a bit paranoid, because my grandma always use the "you're just like" phrase when it came to me doing bad things :) Happy myloting!

For me, the best compliment I have ever received is from the mother of my patient in the hospital. I am a volunteer nurse that time and I really hate that kid (my patient). She keeps on yelling and it's so hard to ask her to take her medicines. She doesn't even want me to inject her antibiotic. But her mom says I am the best nurse they have ever encountered. I feel so appreciated and fulfilled that even though I am not paid on my work, a simple thank you from my patients are good enough to keep me inspired on doing my duty. On my last day as a volunteer nurse, that kid is so good to me. She even gave me food and she already stopped yelling. The she asked me if it's okay that I will be the one who will remove her IV line when she is already okay for discharge. I felt so overwhelmed but sadly, I will not be able to assist and take care of her anymore because on my last day, she still needs to be in the hospital for 2 more days.

I was at a wedding on saturday and I was talking to my Best friends wife, and after a while she told me I was a lovely guy.(personality wise, not looks). This meant a lot to me because she is my best friends wife and I want her to like me so I can still see my friend and carry on the good times.

Hello thekelz! Yes, our friends' parteners' aproval is always important, though my belief is that when you love and choose a person you must not come between him/her and his/her friends. You can substract from their meetings if you don't like the person , but i think it's wrong to forbid that person to see his friends from that point on. If a person had a lifehe/she liked before that partener, he/she shouldn't give it up for anyone. Happy myloting!
