It was recently reveled that the second largest invester in News Corp., the parent of Right wing news organization FOX News, was Kingdom Holding company, which is run by the nephew of Saudi leader King Abdullah. Saudi Arabia produced the largest number of hijackers on 9/11, has been a blatant supporter of terrorism, and has knowingly allowed Sharia law to enforced. My question is how do you feel about making a supporter of terrorism, and of Sharia law money by watching FOX News?

I doubt the folks who just love Fox News and take every word uttered on that network as gospel will respond and, if they do, they won't believe you. I find this very interesting because I thought some of their programs were stupid simply because they were stupid...not I know who they answer to.

The real issue is that those who despise Fox News will blindly believe anything he says about them. Note that he didn't even bother to provide a source. All I could find telling this story were blogs and they say the guy is the FOURTH largest investor, not the second. Debater has posted lies before that were told by blogs so this story is hardly one that I'll take at face value from him.

Taskr, I provided you a link below, and it ISN'T a blog. I just find it Moronic that you have a company that makes of millions bashing radical Islam. While they are a profit center for an investment fund from a country that supports radical Islam. Think about that the next time you are watching FOX News,

It kind of reminds me of video I watched a few days ago about a former KGB official who gave a speech at a local college and told them the former USSR methods they had used to over throw governments in four steps. 1.Demoralize 2.Destabilize 3.Cause rebellion 4.Take over. Maybe that is the point is to cause all this to happen. I am sure also that it helps keep the focus off of them and on Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. If that is the case than I guess I was right from what I have been saying and that is we should be at war with Saudi Arabia and not Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan.

Very inteesting. I don't pay much attention to Fox News (more of a BBC gal, actually) so I don't support them but am curious to see what spin the right wing will put on this little tidbit. You say that Kingdom Holding is the second largest invester. Who's the biggest investor? Are there some strange bedfellows here?

I don't know how I missed this when you first posted it! I'm happy and very relieved to say I haven't been supporting the terrorists...lol! Did you happen to hear how they were talking on "Fox & Friends" about how the Imam behind the community center near Ground Zero was getting funding from this guy, whose name they never mentioned nor did they mention Fox's connection to him. That doesn't surprise me at all. I just find it funny how all of the FOX apologist on there run to the defense of FOX. Looks like Bandar Bushy wasn't the only inside Saudi for the last decade!!!!

Care to provide a source? Do you have one that's NOT a blog? I searched and all I could find were blogs that claimed he was the 4th biggest investor (not 2nd) which still amounted to a piddly 7%, not a controlling share by any stretch of the imagination. Are there any laws banning him from buying stock in a company? Do you have any evidence that this 7% has been used to control Fox News and their coverage in any way? Of course those issues are dependent on you even being able to show that any of this is true since those blogs you seem to like all have long records of telling lies to smear Fox News.

"Taskr, how dare you accuse me of lying????" I didn't I said: "those blogs you seem to like all have long records of telling lies" That is a fact and if you'd like I could link to past threads where you've used blogs that were proven liars. Remember that list of bogus quotes you provided to "prove" Rush Limbaugh was a racist? How about the one with Sarah Palin supposedly getting 600 on her SATs? I'd be more than happy to dig those threads up if you don't remember. "There are NO laws banning this" Good, I didn't think so. "nor are there laws against donating money to a list of republicans" That's where you're wrong. Have you forgotten the stink over China trying to influence elections through campaign contributions? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/campfin/stories/china1.htm Surely you haven't forgotten all the issues with foreigners illegally sending money to Barrack Obama during his election have you? http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0709/25420.html "The evidence is very clear, when you watch FOX you NEVER hear them mention Saudi Arabia when it comes to radical islam, nor Sharia law which is common in Saudi Arabia." Wrong again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvP_zgE_wOM http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,311848,00.html http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,506984,00.html That took about 5 seconds. If you'd like I'll provide more links, but I think you get the point. Make sure you watch the one with Glenn Beck where he rips into this Alwaleed character BY NAME.

Taskr, how dare you accuse me of lying???? Of course I have a source for you Taskr, anything for you http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/investing/news-corp-the-saudi-prince-and-the-ground-zero-mosque/19593554/. There are NO laws banning this, nor are there laws against donating money to a list of republicans so you can get the once in a life time opportunity to regulate yourself, and dictate the US energy policy for decades to come (maybe that is against the law, or at least should be). The evidence is very clear, when you watch FOX you NEVER hear them mention Saudi Arabia when it comes to radical islam, nor Sharia law which is common in Saudi Arabia. As a matter of fact, MOST news organizations ignore the connections between Saudi Arabia and terrorist, even though the majority of 9/11 hijackers came from there. But, I am sure this is just coincidence!!!!

Taskr, first off, I was just joking when I said you were accusing me of lying. I should have made that more clear. If there are laws against buying political influence, then why is Tom DeLay a free man? I see that you found 3 links (two from FOX News), now many stories has FOX done on radical Islam? Explain to me why the mainstream media doesn't go after them when they talk about radical Islam? Saudi Arabia is one of the largest supporters of terrorism, and yet they get a pass from the vast majority of medial outlets. Do you see a connection yet?
