Papaya is a tropical fruit which grows in groups. It is sweet in taste and said to be very rich in vitamins A, B and C. I take it daily in my breakfast along with milk. Is it good for health to take it with milk? Can anyone mention the benefits of Papaya and how it should be taken?

Papaya is thought to contain Pepin which is useful for health.Papaya beside its various vitamins is a good laxative.I haven't heard taking it with milk but as long as it doesn't harm you nothing wrong in it.You can eat a slice prior to breakfast.Normally a papaya tree is either male or female which requires the other to be there to bear fruit.

I heard that one can't take Papaya with empty stomach. How true is it?

He eats it everyday for breakfast so it mustn't be true. I had it for breakfast before with milk too and nothing happened to me.

Papaya can be taken any time of the day. It helps in digestion. It is one of the few fruits which people with diabetes can have. Can be had along with milk or without milk. Research shows that it prevents colon cancer. Mashed papaya, when applied on the face, is good for skin. I take it daily too, but without milk. It is one of my favourite fruits. http://www.vitaminsdiary.com/fruits-vegetables/papaya.htm

That's great. I had this doubt if Papaya can be taken with empty stomach. Thanks for clearing it out.

I certainly like papaya fruit very much. I like the softness and I like the taste. When I travel to East Asia, I would not miss the opportunity to enjoy papaya. I am told papaya has health value. But, I really don't know exactly what health values it has. So, I am not in a position to mention the benefits of having papaya.

Papaya for me - Papaya is very nutritious
Papaya is just so easy to grow. You can just drop seeds in one part of your yard and just let it by itself. Soon you will see them sprouting and in few months will bear goodly fruits for you and your whole family. I love papaya. It is actually an anti-cancer fruit. Not only that it enhances your skin and eyesight. So I always make it a point to eat banana everyday for anyway this fruit is available all year round. Here I am about to eat this papaya. Wanna partake some?

I eat and recommend Papaya. It's rich in Vitamin A. I would recommend for the reason that the Vitamin A content of Papaya is Beta Carotene (no over-dosage and fewer side effects) which is better than the other kind of Vitamin A which is Retinol Palmitate or Retinol Acetate which has an over-dosage limit and has dangerous side-effects.

Yeah it is good. Especially with milk, because milk is nutritious too. But I heard papaya can soften the muscles, I don't know how true it is.
