Have you ever imagined how it would be to be a king, at least for one day?

What would you do? Would you serve your people or would you try to enjoy the life of being a king? I personally would try my best to serve my people, but from time to time I would throw some kingly parties, that would go in the history books. How about you?

i have never really thought of becoming a King. I must have imagined being a royalty, a princess most of the time, but never really the King. But given the opportunity, i'd say i would be the ambassador of goodwill. I would definitely change the way people think of the kings, the court, and how they use their power. We always hear of abusive kings, leaders, etc. I would be different if i was in one of their shoes. I would want to leave a legacy of goodwill, of love, compassion, I would leave a legacy of bringing my country to the map of the world with pride, honor and not scandals or disgrace.

Very nice thoughts you have, it is very altruist the way you think. But do you think that you would never be taken away by the feeling of power you would possess? I think that is very hard not to take advantage, from time to time, from the power one has in his hands.

I think if I were king for at least a day, well, more like, if I were queen for a day, since I am a girl. :] I would cut government spending, but since I were a Queen from the medieval, I'd probably not even have a government, just whatever I say goes. And I say to feed the poor and give them homes! I would also, yeah, probably throw some Kingly Parties, and then reside away to a secret underground home or something. Because secret underground homes sound awesome. :]

To be a good and just ruler, whether king or queen is not that easy! Remember that "what is good for one is not necessarily good for country". You need to be intelligent enough to know the difference and make unpopular decisions. Responsibility is a heavy weight to carry.

One day is not going to be enough to do anything significant really...it takes many years to prepare to become king , there is just so much to know, learn and understand. You may be able to hold the power of a king for a day and order people around, but remember the words and actions of a king are very significant so you would have to be careful of what you ask for and its consequences. I would probably prefer to be able to serve the king for a day and hope that i would be able to assist him in some way... :)

To be a king means heavy responsibilties. "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown" (Shakespeare).I shall serve my people in the best possible ways. If I become a king for a day, I shall ensure less taxation, employment to all, monetary help to the sick and old people.
