I understood that some people didn't do it on purpose. They might simply got a wrong number, and I just a little bit jumpy due to I was too tired last night. Around 11:30 P.M. night time. I already in my bed, and I am asleep. All of sudden, my cellphone was ringing, and there was somebody calling for "Jason". I don't know who they are looking for, but there is no such person. They apologize for a wrong number. I just want to shout at them. I was asleep, and all of sudden a wrong number woke me up like this. Have this happen to you?

I had that happen to me at 2 in the morning and I was asleep and someone had gotten the wrong number and called my cell phone, needless to say I wasn't happy, and they didn't even speak English.

Absolutely. I rememberd I was suffering from insomnia. I cannot even sleep until midnight. Then the next day,I felt irritated. It was not easy for me to take a snap at noon. I felt a little relax and was going to sleep,it was just in time the mobile rang. It scared me from dreaming. When I controled my temper and picked up the phone and said hello. The opposite side have already hang up the phone. It just ring two bells. After checking the CID,I knew it was a disturbing call. Finally I could not bear it,my screaming could even go through the ceiling. The resault was that I could never fall asleep again in the whole afternoon. I totally understand your feelings.

Hi there Kingparker, Well, I don't get wrong # calls on my cell phone ....thankfully because it is a tracphone and that would just eat up my minutes and be really annoying. I used to get calls at odd hours on my house phone and yes....I would get more than annoyed. It was usually one of my daughter's friends. There were a couple of them in particular that I swear never looked at a clock before dialing. She would be in bed and I'd be on my way or already asleep when the phone would ring and they'd ask for her as if it were noon! Luckily that hasn't happened in a long while but I remember how annoying it was. I always instantly went into panic mode when the phone would ring at some late hour like that and then to find it was just some kid that couldn't tell time!!!

Hi, kingparker. Yes, I do hate when people call me when I am trying to rest. I am sure that this has happened to me before. I know that when my husband has to ask me a question, or he needs me to open up the front door, he will call when I am sleep. I don't like to be disturbed in my sleep either, if I am sleeping. If I am going to be awaken, at least it should be because of a useful reason.

I haven't experience that. But in my work calls late at night can happen. The worst call that I received was when I had a really painful headache that I need to sleep right away. I think an hour after finally dozing off my phone started to ring. When I woke up to answer the phone I thought my head's gonna explode. But I have no choice but to answer the phone since I knew its from work. I set a special tone for that particular number.

I agree with some of the others. We leave our phone on in the other room, and my cell is being charged in another room, but the phone in our room never has the ringer on, so if someone calls we never hear it. My husband is a very light sleeper, so if we had it on and he woke up, he'd never get back to sleep. It makes for very good sleeping to have the phone off. No one needs to be calling you in the middle of the night.

Yes, I hate it very much. Wrong numbers happen once in a great while and I was O.K with that but I have come to hate my landline phone. The reason is that too many people have my number - people that I don't want to talk to or hear from. Some months ago a relative of mine called my at 11:30 at night. She had too much to drink and was very obnoxious. This is not the first time this happened. About every month or so, she would call late when I'm trying to wind down from my day. I tried ignoring her calls but they wouldn't stop, so I disconnected the phone. Now if anyone tries to call my home number all they will get is ring, ring ring, ring. I won't hear it because the ringer is turned off and I unplugged the answering machine. I can use the phone to call out but no one can reach me. I love the silence. I have a cell phone for work. Only a handful of people have my number, so all my calls are very limited. If I find that too many people are getting my number for the cell phone, I'll change the number. I've already done that once. I don't put up with much telephone nonesense.

This has happened to me too and it was not fun at all. It wasn't a wrong number, it was a friend of mine. I have a exam the next day so I was in bed early. Then around eleven or twelve at night, I get a call from a hysterical friend whose worried how she's going to do on the test. I felt bad for her so I talked to her. Took forever for me to go back to sleep but I did well on that test.

I haven't had a wrong number in a long time, but I have had bored friends call me after I was asleep, or just getting there. Ugh. I have asked them to call before 10 so they won't wake me from my sleep, unless it is an emergency. I just hate when someone wakes me from sleep because usually I cannot get back to sleep for several hours, and it ruins my day. I would not be upset if it is a wrong number because it was an accident, but when a friend calls and says I'm bored, whatcha doing when I'm in bed where they are supposed to be, I do get a bit testy.

I keep my cellphone off at night. My regular phone in my bedroom I shut the ringer off. I have the reverse happen when people call me way to early in the morning. I am a morning person, but this has happened when they have called super early. Not only does it wake me up, but it scares me that it is an emergency.

No, but my families and relatives call me on purpose when I was asleep. They did that on purpose because they had something important to discuss with me but they did not realise that I was asleep as it was quite strange for me to have gone asleep that early. However, I still think that it is annoying when someone calls me while I am sleeping as it is sometimes difficult for me to become asleep after those calls. Therefore, I turn off my cell phone while I am sleeping now.

i always hate receiving nonesense calls. that late night call should be very very important. if they looked for Jason and there's no such person, i'll ask why they are calling that person (maybe an emergency). Just to relieve the feeling of anger.

Nothing is more irritating and annoying to me than to be awakened from my sleep by the telephone. Itg would be different if the phone call was an emergency. Most of the time it is a prank call or someone for one of my children. Getting back to sleep after this nuisance doesn't come easily.

OMG! I hate it so much! By the time Im actually asleep you usually cant wake me no matter what...but that loud telephone can wake me no matter what! I think it may have something to do with me thinking there's siome sorty of an emergency. Once I wake up because of taht ohone there is no getting to bed for a good part of the night. This is abd considering I work a job, run my own business and attend full time schooling on top of my family life and then tehr est of my life. They appologize but really, if theyw ere sorry or understood your position and cared more about themselves they wouldnt continue to make these mistakes and phoen calls at 11pm! Wrong numbers are the pots in these situations! It wasnt even a discussion hat woke me up but soemone makign amistake. aND DONT GET ME WRONG, iVE MADE WRONG NUMBER CASLLS BEFORE BUT NOT AT MIDNIGHT OR LATER!!!! Drunk late night calls blow as well. But again, what can you do? And the worst part is that I still lie with ym parents and they both go to bed (on average during the work week) at 9pm since they both have to wake up at 5am the enxt day to go to work. QWhile I understand their need to sleep...Im the one who gets yelled at if a friend or someone else calls the house after 9pm on any given night! The only calls I dont care about getting this late is froma friend or family member ina real emergency wether in safety or they are having the worst day ever and need someone to talk to. In that xase I can give up soem sleep to be a good friend and be there for tem in their hours of need...Just like I'd expect from my family and friedns whom I am closest to.

Turn your phone off at night and get some sound sleep. You won't miss anything you can't respond to in the morning!
