Recently, an Indian man was killed by his cellphone when it exploded while he was talking on it. The strange thing was, he wasn't charging his phone, but was managing his grazing cattle in the forest! Warning: If you talk on the phone while charging, you will also risk exploding it and throwing your life away. Now the question is this, is the Indian man's Nokia 1209 cellphone too old or was he sabotaged?

Hiya judge, Was there a Storm when he was on the mobile phone because that can cause it to explode and it can kill you too. Depends on the exposure. A Woman is Spain got killed a few months back her mobile exploded after being struck by lightning and she got the full charge go through her. She was asleep in a Camping Bed and she had left the mobile on while the storm was brewing up. Really unusual to say the least but it did happen that way. Maybe the battery itself was not in good condition and that can make it explode too. I saw a program about Batteries were being replaced with cheaper ones and that sometimes the cheaper Batteries expanded because of the poor quality and depending on the circumstances they could explode too. Maybe the answer is to take an extra look at our Batteries in our Mobiles more often and see if they have any leakage. Thing is I don´t how you can tell if they do expand with that casing they have on them that´s what they did not mention. I suppose to buy from the best source we can and hope for the best is the safest thing.

Actually if there's lightning, we should not be talking on the phone. The state of the batteries is also a concern. Take note to not overcharge the phone too!

Yea, people are like that all the time. They just have to have a disaster to happen to them so that they will learn a lesson.

Hiya judge, Very dangerous too if there are electrical Storms to have the Car Windows open and the Mobile Phone on and you talking on it. Like a sitting target. I see no end of People talking away on their Mobile Phones and the Car Windows open and the flashes of lightning practically raining down on us.

Yea. Old phones do have this problem but it's rare. I really have to think twice when using an old phone! :P
