Stuff happens for a reason!

You may not agree with me, but I am sure there are many who do. God does have a hand in guiding the things that happen in our day to day lives. Example one: Last Friday, I said to my son, who works in the moving business: If you come across a fridge in your work and it's not too expensive to buy second hand, pick it up for me. We need a second fridge because our first one is about fifteen years old and could give up the ghost at any time, as well as needing more space for groceries since my other son just moved in and needs a place for his own stuff. Anyway, three days later, my son calls me as he is finishing his work Monday evening and says, "I am coming over with a refrigerator my customer gave me today." Is this a coincidence? For me, I think this is the hand of God. Example two: This one is a little more spiritual. This morning in church the woman who opened our worship time quoted the scripture that says that when two or three are gathered in My Name, I am in their midst... This evening when I was watching a tv program the preacher opened with that same scripture. I am convinced there is a personal message in that for me today even though I have heard that so many times before. This type of parallel has happened to me before and there is always something I find God is trying to say to me. I know I need to have the support of my Christian brothers and sisters at all times and that it really does make my prayer life stronger. Example three: My neighbors sometimes bring food over to us when they say: "Our freezer is too full" or some other such "excuse". The funny part about this is that we are usually out of whatever it is they bring over, and sometimes really in need. It may be bread, or vegetables. Last time is was over a months supply of various meats that we would not have made it through the month without as our pension and disability checks don't always go so far. The thing is, we don't ever ASK them for anything, and never have... they always just bring stuff over and it's always random timing for them. To me, it is again the Hand of God. In what ways have you ever been convinced that God moves in your life and that it is not just a coincidence? I know this discussion may draw scoffers and nasty remarks, but I am completely serious about this, and you won't change my mind. There is a God and He is IN CHARGE!

How about guiding some of those goodies to the dying hungry children in Africa and Asia, eh? Or God doesn't love those people?

i hate to agree with you, but i do. Even though i believe there is a God, i also believe that those who recieve good things in their own lives are anxious to attribute these things as God's blessings .but seem to be silent when it comes to the question as to why millions of people around the world receive no such gifts, far from it.

He either intervenes in everyone's lives, or not intervene at all. And there's enough proof to disprove the first one.

Well I'm glad that FOR YOU seeing it that way or believing that is what works..I on the otherhand DO NOT believe it was any miracle or intervention by some higher power..Its just life and in the 3rd example its the kindness of others...DONT give the credit to some god, give the credit to THEM, the ones who TRULY deserve it!

I am constantly amazed at how the hand of God is evident in my life. I have often been worried about something which is not a really important problem more of an aggravation and yet God always finds away to tell me how to solve my problem.

Yeah, I love those times when God does stuff like that. Not long ago I hadn't had a chance to get out because I can't leave the house much. I was running low on coffee and was worried that I might run out before someone came so I could go to the store. My aunt and uncle showed up unexpectedly. they brought a goodie bag: a pound of coffee, a pkg of corn bread (which I had a pot of blackeyed peas on cooking) and a huge thing of laundry detergent for my laundry! Oh! Then the last time they came they brought donuts (which I had been craving) and some dark chocolate candy -- Just the little extra ways the Lord lets us know He cares about the little things..

....in one of my discussion, i said i don't believe in miracles, but the fact you mentioned above showed few of them, although i don't refer to them as miracles or coincidence but a mere blessings from God...everything happens for a certain reasons and god has his own way of doing things..as what the saying goes "simply do your best and god will surely do what's best for you"...
