hi friends. if someone ask u to point out a few batsmen who walks off before the umpire gives his decision, sanga will surely be on the list.he made a name for himself in that honour list but the last game saw the end of it. gilchrist is ofcourse the holder of the top spot .remember the monkey gate saga in australia where bucknor gave some very unfortunate decisions. well dravid was one of them.caught by symonds caught by gilly while the ball missed the bat and brushed the pads. when asked later, gilly said that he will appeal as long as there is a sound. fair point but sanga appealed for some imaginary sound in case of karthik and raina which even the snicko cant pick up. seams the umpire was not sure but went on to give the batsmen out because he believed sanga to be a honest player. probably dharmasena will change his mind when he sees the replays and ofcourse after he gets his fair share of critisism,he will be forced to conclude that sanga is just another guy who will do anything to win so will the billion indian cricket fans. so long HONEST sanga

If the umpire makes his decision based on appeal of players then he cant be a good umpire.Dharamsena was banned due to his suspected bowling action and that put an end to his career as a bowler. He played with many of these players together in number of matches and hence he makes his decision on the basis of his emotional attachment towards these players including Sangakara. In the match against India he was just waiting for a strong appeal ,being not at all bothered that player's bat is nowhere near the ball.A pitch assisting fast bowlers it happens that ball passes the bat many times and close to being an edge, that time players go up appealing strongly as there is no harm in taking chances,if given out its a bonus. He may umpire in the finals and can make Srilanka win by giving wrong decisions agains tIndia or NZ whoever qualifies for the final, but one thing is clear now. There was always a feeling of friendship and respect when India and SL play together but i dont think we will see any friendship or respect by Indian players or fans towards SL now including Sangakara.

I have watched Sangas appealing many time . His appeal is strong and all the players will support it. From their confident and strong and long appeal the umpire will be forced to give out. Sanga is the main one in the Lankan team who dosnt know what is sportsmen spirit. He is a cheater

I think honor is a personal thing. Some people play the game with honor, some just make a show of it. I have seen Sanga for a long time and I know that he wants to win at all costs. There have been many instances when Sanga has gone beyond the line. He is known in cricket circles as a master sledger who will not leave any stone unturned to make life difficult for opponent players. Cheers! Ram

Hello STAR, Not only Sangakkara ,every wicketkeeper appeals if they hear a sound.Because wicket keeper is always behind the batsmen,so if they hear a sound or ball is too close to the bat they will start appealing. The umpires may give decisions based on the players appealing. The Srilankan Umpire Dharmasena was giving decisions by appeal of the Srilankan cricketers. But I don't agree That Sangakkara is an honest cricketer. It might be before but not now.
