Venus Raj, Almost A Miss Universe?

Yes.., you are right.. I had my hopes high on Venus Raj.., If she had answered the question more elaborately and used her wit.., she could have won the crown this year.., But I cannot blame her.., She was really nervous.., with the"major, major" crownd in front of her.., =) But it's okay.. I'm still proud she made it to top 5..=)

Yes, you are absolutely right i watched it in the You tube only and as I listened to her response to the question it is just a simple major major whatever for the love of the family but I do believed she elaborate and give even a simple example like it is not good to lie because it it would bring other people's life and just speak the truth for the truth will set you free.... like what happened to her in the Binibining Pilipinas for sure she will be the one to win that Crown.

well if her answer is the only reason why she didnt won then its really sad.

Even though she did not won the title, she is among the top 5 and I think that is impressive enough. I think next time, candidates should be trained to answer questions or talk openly while in front of a crowd. They should be told to answer questions like they were just being interviewed by somebody they know. Repeat over and over until they get the hang of it until it comes out naturally and this also builds up self-confidence. Just look at the archived interview of Gloria Diaz, how she impressed the judges and the crowd with her snappy remarks.

I think that being in the top 5 is an honor for Venus Raj and our country. It's also our pride that she can speak in English without any translator/interpreter.
