Would you rather have an online journal or keeping a diary?

There are a lot of bloggers out there. I even have my own blog, but stopped making one. I really don't have anything to say. So how about you my fellow mylotters. Would you rather have an online journal that people can see and read or keeping a diary, the usual one, kept from people in the most secret place you could put it?

Hi Trishasantos, I have two blogs, but I never share information that is too personal or private in nature. I think if we want to keep a secret, we might as well not write it down, regardless online or offline. There is no point writing something and then try to hide in some secret location.

I am not very good at keeping up with writing a journal, so I regard all of the things that I do online as being the same for me. I have a neglected blog that I should get back to and do more with.

That's a good question. I don't know if I would feel comfortable having an online journal that people could actually read. That might leave me more vulnerable than I would want to be. With a diary that I could physically hide, I would feel safer about opening up. So I guess I would have to say a diary, although it would be a welcoming feeling to feel so free that I was comfortable doing the online thing.

I would rather have online journal. And then I'll keep it private. I spend almost all of my time online so maybe that's the main reason why I prefer online journal rather than diary. And I also have a situation before that my classmate read my diary accidentally. And that's what I hate. Maybe I got traumatized by that. :))

Diary is meant to be a secret hideout for your innermost thoughts. Putting it online is just not so right. Either way, I don't keep one.

I would rather keep a diary than have an online journal. Some things in my life should rather be kept to myself rather than posted for the whole world to see. I do have a personal blog but I try to avoid posting too much details about myself and my life in the site. Everyone needs and deserves a little privacy in their lives. I try to keep some private details in my life private.

I'd rather have neither. I'm not fond of announcing what has been happening in my life and i'm also not fond of writing it as a novel or whatever. I just wanna live my life and search for that moment of living and treasure it until i die.

I have a blog but rarely opens nor writes something on it. Im the type of person that loves writing stuff. Anything that I can think of I actually write it down, that's if i have the time. I don't like people seeing my blogs that's why i make it private but im not 100% sure that others can't read it so i don't write there anymore. I prefer the diary, more private. My sisters won't bother reading my writings because i have a very small handwriting that it's barely readable and my sisters has a bad eyesight so is my mother so i know im safe :D

I would like to use blog. On the blog, i could not only share some good articles with my friends but also share some life pictures there. As for the secret diary, I would also set a password for such diary.
