I've always been more of a talker than a listener, but years ago, I changed that habit. I think it's more important to listen than to talk, but I'm not saying that talking is no good at all. But mere listening is not just good enough. I think we should hear and obey at the same time when obliged to, when necessary, and when it's the right thing to do. Are you more of a talker or a listener? How do you feel about other listeners / talkers??

i'm more of a listener. i like silence because it gives me more chance to hear out, observe and learn. being a good listener also makes up for being a good friend.. however, silent people sometimes tend to be misinterpreted so i try to talk more.. i think that life is all about balance. you have to be a little bit of both - a little bit of a listener and a little bit of a talker.

very few people are good listeners, and well done for being one.... i think it's a general trait for most people - most people want to be heard but are not willing to hear out others.... yes, we have to be a bit of both to be balanced.

I want to be a good listener, But actually i am great speecher. And that is not good all the time. Silence is the medicine for any solution. Silence is our friend, recently i am maintaining my calmness in the classroom. So all my friends are shocked that "what happen to ramesh, why he is become silent?"....

true true.... when you don't talk much, it could be misinterpreted as being snobbish... especially if the person doesn't know you much, or has only known you for a while :p

My bf would always say im so talkative and that i don't listen to him, because of my love for him i changed that attitude. I try to listen to him every time he speaks and try to understand him more. Because if both of us keeps on talking and no one will listen, for sure the war will never cease. I can say now that im in between, being a talker and a listener.

why choose one if you could be both? sometimes, friends wants you to listen to them, they want to release emotions, let them vent, but also, there will be times that they want you to speak and give advice or opinion.. so, why limit yourself?
