We all knew that we might be heading to a double - dip, or a second recession, due to tough economic time without many investment from people, or people withdraw their investing funds early for the help of daily necessities. I had a financial problem earlier, and I did try to settle it with my credit card through legal action. The court grant a consent judgment, so I did honor that judgment to work out a payment plan, in an attempt to pay little by little. Not until last month, this collector agency authorized by Discover Card, not behaving accordingly, and overcharged me $300 for something the operator not be able to answer me. She tried to transfer my call to her superior, but there is no actual person in the line, only wants me to leave a voice message. That is really bullsh*t. With Discover Card, I am trying to work hard to pay it back, but they trying every dirty scheme to bring me down. I actually trying hard and find ways to work it out, they simply wants ruin my life further. What goes around comes around, I hope that someday they might suffer the similar case.

All credit card companies are becoming greedy. I know I get harassment calls from collectors about a credit card that is not mine. I keep telling them it is not mine and was asked in a very mean way how can someone as dumb as you remember what credit cards you hold. I told the lady look I have a college degree and am working towards a Master's degree and beieve it or not in college they teach people how to count. TRuthfully, I make a list of all the credit cards I have and write down the 800 numbers and the card numbers. I keep the paper in safe place in case my wallet had ver gotten stolen (thankfully it has not happened). My husband gets calls about credit cards that are in his ex-wife's name. Appartently she is remarried, but still kept my husband's name so she can get credit(hers is bad). We have sent numerous copies of our marriage license proving that my husband is married to me and a copy of his divorce decree (from his ex-wife), but yet one company does not believe us. Are you paying by money order? If not, I know it is a pain, but I would close my bank account and my debt card and have the bank give you new ones. That way they cannot take the money out of your account without proper authorization.

You should told that lady about federal collection rights. You can write a letter to them and tell them not to call again, and it is not your debt, period. She should understand this, and if she not, she is violating the law, you can tell her that.

Why not sue them? If the want problem give them problem. I really hate call center agents. Sometimes you need to fight fire with fire. Beside I never thought creditcard is a conjugal debt. I mean creditcard is a personal account. So even if you are married her or his debt is not your debt. You don't need to prove anything.

I had two Discover card accounts a few years back. I was drwoning in debt and was working with a debt managemt agency. Discover card refusd to work with this agentecy. Discover card took legal action and threaden to sue, I latter agrred to a judment order and started to payback some of what I owed. latter on I found it nesseccery to declare bankrupcy. so I do understand what your going thur. it seems like discover card has a very, very, aggressive debt collention policy.

I don't think it will go down as far as 20% down. Stocks suffer to badly that theirs no more room for stocks to fall down. Unless the value of the dollar will change as well that I doubt it will. Right now I oil is still picking up. So its means theirs a demand for oil. And its means the slow down is not that bad. And usually when your in recession stocks goes up.
