I just need another 10 minutes of sleep

Oh gosh, the alarm clock already ringing loudly, and the sun wasn't even up yet. But I have to get up, told myself, but my eyes still closed, and I just need another 10 minutes, and I will get up. When my father knocking on my door, I do know that I already late. I just hurried to get dress, and rush to the bathroom to clean up myself. Luckily, I still get out of the door just a couple of minutes late, without having my breakfast. Anyway, I should go to bed early last night, but we all experience the same thing once in a while, don't we?

Mine is weird. When I set an alarm, I would always wake up earlier than expected. Then, I couldn't sleep after that. When the alarm finally rings, for some reason my head suddenly becomes heavy and would feel the need to sleep; I become very sleepy.

I like that. You would wake up earlier than expected but when the alarm clock rings you suddenly become sleepy. At least you are able to step out of bed. I think it's better than not being able to leave the bed at all. What do you think?

I have done this as well, though I think mine was more because I would wake up and couldn't get back to sleep and then would get back to sleep and wake up not an hour later, and to continue to do this until the alarm finally rang.

I usually experience that everyday. Every night I usually set 3 wake up times for me, but I always end up waking up 10 minutes after the last alarm. Good thing my office is just 5 minutes away from the place I stay at, or else I would always be late for work. I am just so depressed this past few days I end up sleeping a lot to forget all about my worries.

We all have those days. It's hard to get up when it is still dark.

Hahaha.. yes.. we all do.. we would rather sleep another more minute that wake up and have breakfast specially if we slept late last night. Actually for my case I have my alarm clock set 10 mins before my actual wake up time. This is to give me time to really wake up.. hehehe

I think everyone does that. As you are going to sleep, keep telling yourself that you have to get up when the alarm goes off. Just thinking about it can help you actually do it! My problem is staying up too late & not wanting to get up but if I could, I would stay up all night and sleep all day until I felt like getting up.

I actually get what you mean, I experienced that the whole week this week. It was really a very tough thing to be in, I teach in the morning and I have to be early and show these kids to start the day fresh. Hehehe.. I failed in all accounts because I look sleepy and have been thinking about my bed the whole time! hahaha... I know I need to sleep earlier next time, I'll try to do that this week.

What we would all do for that 10 extra minutes of sleep in the morning. The alarm clock always seems to ring too soon. i could just gall back to sleep, but i try not to. The best thing to do when that old alarm clock rings is to shut it off and get out of bed. it is time for the day to begin.

I feel that way all the time. If only we can sleep the whole day long or make our 24 hours into a 48 hours a day, I would do it. This way, we can have more time to rest. Been having a hard time waking up. Maybe the years are catching up to me. Oh well, we have to do what we have to do. zzzzzz.

Yes, I absolutely just need another 10 minutes of sleep. But, 10 minutes after 5 minutes after 5 minutes and then 5 minutes yet just again. And BOOM, I end up oversleeping. Great! This is been a very very bad habit of mine. When my alarm clock goes off, i keep pressing the snooze button. I don't understand why is it just so difficult to get out of bed. Waking up from my sleep has always been the worse part of my day and i totally dislike it.

Hi there King Parker! I always set my alarm clock on school days and also on Sundays when we go to church and need to wake up early so that we won't be late. It only gets hard when I have a deadline to beat and had to stay up late and get up early the next day. Nowadays, I wake up to the song, "Diva" by Beyonce Knowles. There are times when I just press the button so that the snooze will be activated, then I'll continue sleeping for five or ten more minutes. But I always regret that afterwards that's why I always try to get up as soon as the alarm I set goes off.

In an odd way I find it kind of relaxing to go to sleep late and sleep in a little, even if it makes me a little late for wherever I need to be. Of course it stresses me in the morning, but the feeling of being in bed not quite awake, a bit toasty warm or a bit cool is a nice feeling.

I always get up as soon as my alarm goes off in the morning. I prefer to be able to have breakfast slowly and at my own leisure, rather than having to rush to get out of the house. My boyfriend is the complete opposite. He's always on the last minute, and sometimes ends up not being able to have breakfast just because he couldn't be bothered to get up when his alarm clock went off. He's missed important meetings because of it, as well.

Yeah, actually everyday. I always set an alarm for 1 hour before my time to wake up. And for every next 15 minutes, the alarm will ring. Then I get time to prepare and get deal with my heavy eyes..
