Do you really need 2 parking spaces?

Why do people take up 2 parking spots by parking sideways or over the white line?. Unless you're drunk or you afraid of someone parking next to you and banging or scratching up your car which in either case you should just leave your car at home.. Don't you think others need a parking space...it's very rude. Has that ever happened to you and you had to find a space further away because some Idiot took up 2 spaces?

I've been boxed in like that before, it's really annoying. My revenge to the guy was a slow leak in his tire, lol.

I usually find it really annoying when people do this too as it is very thoughtless. It takes up a valuable space that another driver might really need later on. I wish more people paid attention!

Oh,i could guess about it,as sometimes i always hard time with parking. I am not really good with it esp when there were cars at both sides it gives me hard time to make my parking good, but still i can manage with little perseverance. It is happening here in our place too and very common at parking areas.

I don't thin there is a need for anyone to take up two parking spaces unless they are pulling some kind of trailer behind them. If you have to park between two spaces just to park, it's time to get off of the road and let someone else do the driving and parking for you. When you take up more than your own parking space, this leaves room for someone's road rage.

These people who take up 2 parking sports are extremely selfish people. They should not even do that. Parking spaces in the public are meant for everyone. How can they think that their one car can take up the 2 spaces. I suggest relevant authorities could pass a new law that says that drivers who take up two spaces have to pay the price for the 2 parking lots, as they deprive other of it!

ya! This happens quite a lot and I really cannot understand why they need to take 2. Sometimes its quite irritating when the parking lot is full well in fact some can still park their car if some people would just take 1 space.

I wonder about this too sometimes. I park in a laneway where I live, and unfortunately the parking spots are too small. I've had my car dented too many times because some idiot decides to park too close. I find it difficult when going shopping and seeing people parking oddly in spots, not leaving enough room for larger vehicles to park. It's not fair, but they really don't care. People like that really shouldn't be driving much less parking cars.

They think they the only ones that need to park somewhere. Where I live the parking spots are very close together too but there are lots of them so that makes it a little better.

Yes....that happens alot. For some reason the closest spots at the grocery store someone will usually take two....I don't know what the reasoning it....but it's a pain for others!

Most of them are worried about people scratching there car, but that doesn't give them the right to park like they do.

I've been driving for a few years and parking is still my weak spot. However, if I'm not happy with my park job, I will back up and correct myself. I prefer a slanted parking spot compared to one that is straight on. I have more issues with depth preception to begin with, so I don't always park consistently that's for sure. The parking spots at work are pretty small and when the way people will park there is ridiculous. When one person parks like they own the place, than the next car has to park a little off as well, not good. I just love when people take more than one spot and they don't need to.

That's how it is at my work, a few people had there car dented so now they think they own the parking lot.
