I noticed that when my dog is sleeping, she usually move her feet as if she's running or something. sometimes it's as if she has an enemy, i can see her canine teeth. so i come up with this question, do animals (especially dogs) dream like humans do, too? well we can't really answer this because we are not like them, but what can you say? is it really possible? does science have explanation regarding this?

Basically, all most all mammals do dream. This is because of their brains, in which it is much larger than other animals.

Yes I have a dog and he dreams a lot.sometimes he moves his legs and makes funny noises. My dog is strange, he likes to be under a blanket or cover when he sleeps.

i'm sure they might. my tortie cat talks and moves her legs while sleeping,so something must be going on in there.

For dogs, yes they do dreaming. It happens many many times to my late puppy(dog-I only name him puppy). He always had dreams, I can see his eyes is rolling, he barks and cry, he's feet were moving too. I can hear him snore too just like human, I thought it was my father, haha ! Even the cats are dreaming too! I just don't know if other animals does.

I believe very strongly that they do I have always had Rescue Dogs including little Gissi who I have now He has Nghtmares, he cries in his sleep and sometimes really bad, he has growled in his sleep so yes I do believe they dream The chasing one is a very common one in Dogs lol and I think it is so cute

I would say animals do dream, because I remember our dog use to growl and sometimes even bark in her sleep. I often wondered who/what she was barking at. It was fascinating to watch her though. _Derek

I have wondered many times if animals do dream when they sleep. I have seen my cats twitching in their sleep. i have wondered if they do dream, do they dream of humans or other animals. It would be interesting to find out if animals did dream and what their dreams meant.

I had owned dogs and yes they dream just like us but their behaviour differs to some extent as per their breed----there are various types ( classes ) of dogs in this world.

I guess they do. Cats twitch and move about in their sleep too. Sometimes the claws come out as if they are catching something.

waah that's a very interesting question. our dog does move, bare fangs, or jerk while sleeping. i searched for an answer online, and found out that, yeah, dogs do dream~ that was a really amazing find for me^_^ based on research, the brain activity of a dog increases when it is in deep sleep. they also have rapid eye movements (REM) which is a sign of dreaming. ugh, i wanted to paste the link but i couldn't. *sigh* well i guess you could use the mylot search engine and earn some cents~!XD

I think it is possible that animals dream. Sometimes, dream comes out of your imagination, or something you see. As animals too have brains, i think they should be able to dream.

Maybe they do, because they also have brains which able them to make dreams. but I believed the science has a concrete explanation with regards to that matter.

animals definitely dream. after all, we're animals and we dream. so why wouldn't dogs or cats or horses? we've all seen animals dreaming. it's lovely to watch. I hope they have happy dreams. I know my lurcher does. his tail wags almost continually when he's asleep.

When my dog was alive, she used to bark in her sleep and run and stuff. I've read somewhere that dogs dream from scent! Isn't that cool? They are sniffing dreams. I guess it is scientifically able to discover this.

I think they do have dreams, sometimes I would hear our dog whining when he sleeps. As if he is having a nightmare, at times he would also toss from left to right.

I have a cat and a dog and often the cat will shake when she is in a deep sleep. Sometimes the dog makes whimpering noises so we reckon these must be times when the animals are dreaming.

I think they do. My dog does the same as yours, it looks like she's barking or running, and my two cats sometimes it seems they do too, but they like more a deep sleep :)
