What is your favorite breakfast?

Even though I am by no means a breakfast expert (I only eat breakfast in the weekends, otherwise I am too busy), I really have two favorite breakfasts: continental European breakfast (croissants, orange juice, coffee) and the Full English (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages). But some pancakes with maple syrup is pretty yummy too! Is that American breakfast or something? What is your favorite breakfast? One of the above, or something completely different?

Well when Americans have time to make we will enjoy bacon and scrambled eggs, or omelets or eggs sunny side up or over easy. Also pancakes and syrup, that is something that kids enjoy eating, but are good for grown ups as well. I don't eat breakfast very often I have never really been a breakfast person, I just eat when I want to, however my favorite breakfast food is corned beef hash. It is mostly some corned beef chopped finely, and combines with potoates that are chopped up really small and some onion. I really love corned beef hash. A little bit of over easy egg along with it is the ultimate breakfast in my opinion.

For my breakfast, I love to eat american breakfast like burger or hotdog sandwich, sunny side up egg with hash brown, orange juice and hot tea. However, in Philippines we have different sets of breakfast menu especially if we are to go for a heavy work. In this case, we surely love to eat fried rice with dried fish or some cold cuts plus dark coffee.

An American breakfast is not a hamburger or hot dog.

This is not something I have all that often but the ultimate breakfast for me would be 2 eggs sunny side up, a couple of pieces of bacon, just enough toast to dip the egg yolks in to, and 1 pancake to finish it off with Butter Pecan Syrup. Also a nice glass of a really good quality or fresh sqeezed orange juice. That is what sounds good to me.

Hi there! Im from the philippines and i do love what you've mentioned as well its just that my favorites include our native breakfast here in the Philippines which are, sinangag( fried rice with lots of garlic). tuyo (dried fish), egg and tomatoes plus hot cup of coffee. I love pandesal too, (our ever famous soft bread intended for breakfast, and best to eat when hot) with hotdogs, omellete or cheese as my perfect pair for my ever delicious pandesal. Yummy! Have a nice week end!

That does sound very yummy too, jinjer168, thanks for your reply, I had never heard about most of these dishes before, so it is really great to get replies from all over the world like this!

Surely you have to make time for a quick bit every morning. It necessarily does not have to be a lavish one. A quick bowl of cereal gets my engines lubricated and ready for my day any day of the week!

Well, yes, you are right, I suppose. But I am usually in a rush in the morning, not very hungry either, so I mostly rush off to work, where I don't really have time to eat. But you are right, I really should get better at this!

My favorite breakfast ever since I was a child is bacon and eggs. I love those juicy honey cured bacon on my plate each morning. It's like a morning glory for me. And a fresh milk would complement it pretty well. Yum.

I do not eat breakfast really. I have used to just taking coffee in the morning. It seems that I do not have the appetite to eat in the morning. But since I take coffee, then perhaps that is my favorite breakfast. My day does not start without a cup of coffee at hand.
