Have you ever been in a terrible hotel? Really awful service?

I went to a hotel that was being renovated and got stuck in a back room covered in dust. There was constant banging from the work being done and when I asked for a change of room was told that there were none available! Luckily I was only staying overnight but I felt as if I shouldn't pay the exorbitant bill that they presented me with when it was time to leave. Another time a group of us went on a business trip and the hotel kept us waiting for 2 hours for our meal. There was one waiter and he was so run off his feet he was sweating buckets. We felt sorry for him as we could see that he was totally unable to cope on his own. Needless to say we never went back there. Anybody has had bad service and would like to share?

No, I was lucky enough to always go to nice and clean hotels. I mean, of course some where better than others, but yeah, they have all been pretty okay so far. I do try to check up on the hotel before booking though, so I know more or less what it is like, maybe that's why.

That's the best way to go but sometimes you get good reviews and then when you get there its a different story! Thats what happened to us with the 2 hour meal wait. Most of the hotels that I have visited were really nice and I would go back there anytime. I really like the all inclusive ones. They are really nice. Ton loads of food!

Yeah once in the states i was in a international motel.My god the place was bad, there were hillbilly's on every poarch just staring at you when you went by.I can't beleave i spent the night there.The rooms had blood stains on the walls and on the carpet and the place smelled strange.Their was no complementary breakfast in the morning and the place had nothing of real interest there.I never will stay there again and when i look for a hotel now i go on a site that telle me it's review and what others think of it.Sure enough i found i on the site and 6 others found it horrible beyond words lol.

BLOOD STAINS? Good grief! What on earth went on in there? Perhaps you are lucky to get out alive! I am glad you made it out and is here today to mylot away still! I definitely would not be going back there! I wonder what they would have served up for breakfast?
