I'm not known for ranting, or rambling or complaining. In fact, I don't even know what I do most here on myLot. But this time allow me to at least complain a little bit. It's payout period right? So it's definitely predictable that some users will again flood the whole myLot with their 1 million and 1 discussions hoping to reach the earnings enough for the payout. There's one user here who is making at least 30 rapid-fire discussions and I am pretty sure she is annoying a lot of people! You know who YOU are! Let me ask you guys. Do you even bother to respond to discussions these types of people make?

I don't like to respond to discussions made by users, who don't bother to reply to at least a few comments. Generally, a user who rapid-fires discussions is one of those people - I just turn the page.

that's because before, mylot use to credit people who makes discussions, consider them as one point even if there's no response yet. but that was before. now, some one needs to respond to your discussion, before it is considered a post. and a lot of people doesn't understand that you got to respond to a lot of post and less making too much topics. because some of them are not quality made.

Some of her topics are good and interesting. I might even find myself answering a few. But it's just so annoying to see that she had once again occupied the entire two pages of her discussions. I will go and check if she does go back to comment back. Because if she doesn't then she's not worth my time.

Hi Total...no it's not you. So don't get paranoid just yet. But if you are doing such, like 30-50 a day, then you must know that people are pissed off by this. You know you need to stop. However, I never saw you making too much. And if you find me responding to your posts, then you have nothing to worry about.

Well, who knows? Maybe due to the random and rapid post of discussions, a few of those posts might be quite interesting for anyone to participate in such discussions. As long as the discussion is quite interesting, I guess I'd still participate in that discussion. Never the less, if the discussions keep on adding up, one after another, and then other members of the site would also be doing the same thing of rapid post of discussions just to reach the minimum amount before payout, I guess some of those interesting discussions would be hard to find. (^_^")

Yeah, that would be the case when most of the newly posted discussions would just keep on adding up, those with good quality get sent back which most myLot members, I can admit to myself this, have no motivation in looking. Perhaps we all just really need to use the search feature of this site so that we can really find the discussions that we are interested in participating. However, it really depends on the tags that a discussion has in order for it to be among the results that you would get when we do our search. Of course, that's entirely a different matter compared to rapid fire discussions that happens when pay out is close.

I only use the search bar to avoid making duplicate discussions when I am going to start one. Sometimes I just go through aimlessly through the discussions and answer in a random manner.

Hi ratyz, the problem with those rapid-fire discussions is that they tend to push the other quality posts further because they fill up the entire two=page space so that when you look at it, there's nothing else but their discussions. Seems selfish to me. I know some of the topics are interesting. No problem with that. But I hope they'd realize that they are making myLot lose its very essence.

You counted 30 and I have received 28 of them I really don't understand how some people can stay quiet all month and then just spit out all that in such a short space of time and think tjhat they are creating interesting quality discussions. Not the way to go at all

Well, I have no females on my list like that, and I am relieved. Maybe she was on vacation all month? I would just delete her, and I am usually not the deleting kind.

I hate deleting people too because who knows what types of stuff they can come up with in the future? They can really be surprising sometimes. Like this one I'm talking about, she does have interesting topics in fairness to her. It's the number of discussions she's putting in in one day.

I know exactly how you feel, MysD. It's like they woke up one day and realized, "It's the end of the month, I need to earn!" Too late, baby!

It is quite annoying when members do this but surely you must know it is the members who do not comment back that do not earn. We certainly get credit for what we post to their discussion. It is they do who not earn. I often wonder why these members are under the notion that they will earn for posting a new discussion but yet never reply or comment back to their responses. They have it all wrong. See a member posts a discussion I comment, I earn, you comment back you earn. This is the general concept people just do not get.

Yes, that is true. If I were to play this game, I might as well respond to her discussions. I lose nothing right? The problem is, discussions like hers are more likely to be deleted eventually and my response get deleted along with it.

I admit I used to have that notion before too. But even then, I always make sure I respond or comment back to people who responded to my post. It was really just simple courtesy and common sense for me until I have read discussions that made me realize I was right..

Oh yes I completely agree. I was merely pointing out the notions members have about simply just posting. If you are aware most will be deleted as violations, skip and ignore not worth your valuable time and loss of earnings.

Hi there, i'm still a long way from payout, and thus i won't be starting hundreds of useless post, in order to reach my goal of getting first payout from mylot! I really hate such people, who only think about themselves, wanting to reach payout, and yet did not think about the feelings of others. What if that someone start 30 discussions in one sitting, and it means when we open that particular person's notifications, we will have a mountain of discussion to clear. Though we have the choice to choose to ignore, but it does not feel comfortable to see a huge chunk of number inside the (), be ignoring it. Oly hope that, other members won't be that selfish.

That's exactly my point - multiple discussions push other discussions away.

That's exactly my point - multiple discussions create a clutter not only in my email but also in myLot itself. Aside from that, multiple discussions push other discussions away. (sorry, my laptop is bugged, I think)

The person on my list who does that got deleted. The discussions often were repeats of themselves and were only on about four different topics. I am on too many websites to be clogged up with useless stuff like that. The rest of my friends are great. No, you are not noted for rants on here.

Sometimes it feels liberating to rant.So I did. I also met someone who kept doubling his discussions, replacing just a few words, but the thoughts are all the same. I saw this person add me up as a friend but I didn't approve it.

being a long time member in here I just ignore those post like that since they are that desperate to earn that much in here. I have slowed down a bit in this site lately though. I think this people will be caught in time and they will most probably realized that what they are doing would be futile and all their efforts to earn will not be of any use at all.

I usually hate one-liner discussions, partly because it's lazy and also because it's highly likely then that the poster will never respond to comments and that just feels rude. It's like ringing someone and then not wanting to talk to them. I hate it when someone posts a discussion and then clearly never looks at it again. It just seems to go against the way Mylot should be. It's a discussion site. That implies actually discussing some things.

theresaaiza I do not respond to most of those rapid fire discussions as the responder did not take the trouble to figure out whether or not all of her quickies are ruled breakers or not. And a lot of them were as far as I was concerned. It is annoying as if you respond she does not bother to ever comment at all. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Hi Theresaaiza! I'm with you! I can think of two people who are "doing it again"! Wonder if we have the same "one" at least? It is annoying and when "the persons" do that I refuse to respond to any of their discussions at all! When you "rapid fire" discussions one after another they are repetative and most often stupid! There I've said it! I don't start discussions because I don't feel I have any interesting topics to talk about! Sometimes I'm not even sure if I'm responding ok, but I love it here and am not going anywhere after 3 years!

When I get multiple discussions from one friend I pull out one to answer, this is all that I have time for to be fair to others who need my responses.

I respond to discussions that I believe I can contribute to and not based on whether or not they're my friend or if their discussions are starting to annoy me. Usually if someone's doing rapid-fire discussions then they aren't very good discussions to reply to. I find it much more useful to try and respond to discussions towards the end of the month. I usually can't think of any good discussions and I don't earn much from them anyway.

No, I don't select my choice discussions by how we are connected or something. So long as I find it interesting I go for it. But since this person is doing rapid-fire discs, I suspect my repsonse will get deleted along with hers so even if some of her discs are good ones, I dared not respond. I checked again and found that she had zero responses on most of her discussions.
