I feel if shop a lot, you tend to be addicted to it. Even if you have no real needs the urge to go shopping is high. Does the modern shopper an addict?

I used to be addicted to shopping but I learned my lesson the hard way. Now I make sure I think ten times before buying an item. I always ask myself if the item is really necessary. Money is tight these days so I need to prioritize my needs instead of wants.

I don't think I'll ever get addicted to shopping. One good reason is that I don't have any credit card. The card I got is our savings card so it is not to be used.. I don't shop a lot too, though I like window shopping. Nowadays when earning a living is very hard, we have to think of ways on how we can save, and shopping for my opinion should be at least last on the list, if it isn't really necessary at all. But if you are really rich, why not shop often.. If one has the bucks to spend then they have the right to shop all they want.. I have watched Confessions Of A Shopaholic, and the movie is nice and funny, and it also gives idea on how is being a shopaholic. It shows the disadvantages of the behavior and how to cope up with the habit..Good thing I am not one.. Coz it is very addictive.

I shop when i require something. What you said is true for those who spend a lot of time and money beyond their means. But for those of us who have to buy our necessities it isn't an addiction but a necessity. Some modern shoppers are addicts though not all.

I think I had that experience two weeks ago. Two weeks ago, my husband gave me some shopping money to shop for something I like as a birthday present from him. I had so much fun shopping that I continued to shop the week after even if it was already out of budget. And I still want to shop now. I am hoping that my dad would send me some money so I can shop again.

Good Morning dear Yoganandht , well i'm responding for my case here , regarding your question , actually i dont really consider myself a shopping addicted , first of the reasons would be that during week'days starting from 16:00 h untill 19:00 h , the Shop , or the market are pretty fulll with people , the reason been that most of the working people are coming back from work , and they head to the shop first so they cann planify either what they eat for the day in rulling , or simply making provisions for the next days , but one thing is sure , the Market is full and there is some waiting at the cashier . I hate going to the supermarket , so when i do it , i make a list on the night before , and then on the following morning , armed with my List and a clear ideea of what i need , i go in the Morning at the SuperMarket , since there is a lot less people . In generall i like to shop Clothes or games , but the rest its pure obligation ( lowl) , so i am not a Shoppin' Addict and i dont think there's an adiction to go shoppin' , or simply go in the store and compare the price and quallity of different products. One thing i know for a certain , and thats , that i am seen that the most of the shoppers in the SuperMarkets are womens ( hihihihi ) and thats good for me , since been a male sometimes makes me a pleasure to go and shop , since i get good odds on finding myself with a pretty girl on the same part of the Store ( hehe ) Have a great day dear Yoganandht Flo'

I don't like shopping, even for things I enjoy. So I could never be addicted thankfully :)
