Just Found My Hot Lips!

Earlier I started a discussion about a bee pollinating my Hot Lips and that I was a bit miffed I couldn't upload the same photo that was in the gardening category. Well, I've figured out how to default the photo to any discussion of mine relating to gardening.
So, Voila! It's now on the right so you can admire my Hot Lips (the red and white flowers) lol.

Nooo, they're not roses! Tomorrow when it's light I shall take a photo close-up of one, then you will see that they're not roses lol.

It did not look like salvia to me either. Hot Lips, is it? I will go do a search and see what I learn about it. It always feels good to learn a new skill, and a new plant.

I did plant a few bulbs but on reflection they weren't deep enough as only the lilies came up..quite spectacular though. Only two of them but it was two more plants than was there before, so that's how I look at it. Next time Mum comes she says she will bring me some daffodil bulbs to plant ready for the spring. It's always been my ambition to grow some so to get the opportunity to do so is great!

There's a pic above from the internet that is identical to my Hot Lips..er, because it IS a Hot Lips flower lol.

No, does Salvia ring any bells? They're small flowers but there's loads of them. Originally, we bought it in a pot and I could tell (even then) that it was a hardy plant..and so it's proved in its new home. It's massive now and I love it!

The picture here looks like roses to me as well.
I went online and found your Hot Lips, though and it is indeed a Salvia,
and I can see clearly why it is called Hot Lips.
