i Love barney do you?

My eleven month old baby really loves watching barney, that purple big dinosaur. He gets focused every time Barney is played in the computer and even dance while Barney and his friends where singing. Do you let your child watch Barney?

Yes my child watches barney. To be honest i never particularly liked him but my kid loves him soooo much! We even bought a large soft toy of barney, several books and she sleeps with a tiny barney since she was 1 year old.
Barney as a character is cute and there are several good educational lessons to children especially ranging from 1 to 3 years of age, including manners, love, sharing and several othrs.

Before I had kids, I hated Barney and didn't understand what the appeal of this weird looking purple dinosaur was. But when my daughter started watching the show, then I sort of "got it" - hee hee. We have videos and books - and been on the website . . . now he's very familiar to me. My son is 10 months, and he doesn't care for tv all that much - but he gets a kick out of Barney and Baby Bop - ha ha. I don't know if I really like him, but if my kids like him, then that's cool with me!

I couldnt stand Barney as a child and I still cant stand him. My oldest would be going through the channels and say 'ohh mommy barney is on' and I would say 'nope sory put something else on' and she would. I just dont know what it was or is but I just cant stand him.

I prefer Pooh bear than Barney but I have no choice because when my kids were still babies up to the time they became toddlers, they have chosen Barney over Pooh. Frankly, whenever Barney is being played over and over for the sake of my kids, I really wanted to throw up. I really don't know why babies and toddlers, no matter where they are in the world, are very much fascinated with this strange-colored dinosaur. Oh well, the price I have to pay for the love of my kids.

My daughter likes him ok and will watch him but around here it is The Wiggles, we have tons of videos and a couple of cds and a lot of the toys. She likes to be captin feather sord. It is really too funny. She sings a couple of the songs and does the dances with them. I don't find anything wrong with Barney just not one of her favorites.
