What makes a man man?

Being a man is so hard to explain. For me, what makes a man man is that man itself in its true essence. The true essence of man is that he comprises of two major classification. One is as human being and the other is spiritual being. Human being composed of flesh and earthly belongingness like body and other material being unlike spiritual being composed of our inner, deep, undescribable, msyterious existence like feelings, emotions, thoughts, and soul.

a man is a man when he cries :) i like men that are not afraid to show their emotions^^ also when a guy cries bcs of a girl is so sweet^^ i always wanted a guy cries for me one day so im sure he loves me^^ also men are men when they are not afraid to show how much they love their gfs without being ashamed of being teased doing cheesy things just to show to his gf he really loves her^^ for me thats a real guy^^

well, there are many things that make a man .his/HER strength,emotion , smartness character that makes him can lead the things correctly as a human being .Being helpful especially for those who are helpless ( inhuman being) .
in another word to be a man YOU HAVE TO BE A LEADER AND IN CONTROLLING Physical and spiritually .

Do you mean a 'man' or a 'human'?
As a woman, I can tell you that for me what makes a man 'a man' is his personality, his voice, his way of speaking, his behavior, his body and it's just that feeling I get from him that makes me feel- 'oh, it's a man!'... some guys just don't seems to have that. (:
If you meant what makes a human a 'human', then to me it's his deeds. A human is someone who is considerate of his enviroment, of the beings around him, that does his duties, that treats others the way he wish to be treated and maybe even better. A human is someone who was given power over other kinds of beings, and that should use this power in order to improve the life on this planet. (:

for me what makes a man "man" is that as you have said it composed of body and soul,but the most significant of being a man is that man has the freedom for its own live.And the freedom to choose what is right and wrong!!But the real question is "WHAT MAKES A MAN TRULY HUMAN?"

What make a man a man, can be evaluated in his action. A man decide based on the 3 consideration, Considering his self/Considering other and family/considering righteousness.He faced problem with confidence and never lost his guts. For me this is the essence of being a man

what makes a man a real man or what you are trying to emphasize is what is the difference of a being man from being a boy. simple.. its how he deals with adversities. being a man is not measured of how big your arms and chest is, how good looking you are, or how strong you are its how you stand for your decision and how responsible you are.. i think that what makes a real man for me..
