Is it really necessary for a Woman to wear a make-up?

Nope! women's real beauty is simplicity, make-up made the face beautiful for temporaty period and then what?. More, if she is working in prestige company, i have to counter question, how to these company get prestige in market, i have answer due to WORK and HONEST policies with customers. She can take gain without make-up if she is honest with work and company.

It isnt something necessary but it does look good on women of course. It enhances our looks. Sometimes it makes our face look cleaner or in a diferent but better shape depending on how you put it on. Of course there are some women that just dont know how to put on make up.

Appearance, I believe, is a part of an image constructing. I agree that a professional image is not merely about the physical appearances but still, it is important, especially if the job requires you to meet many people. You said it yourself that if the woman didn't wear make up, she looked dull. The dull face is not representing the active, energetic, and whatever positive image the (prestige) company wanted to show. And that's not a good thing, I believe. Of course, it is not all about the make up. To be looked good, a woman not only have to be concern about the face only, but also the health of the skin, the hair cut and hairdo, the appropriate apparels and accessories if they're needed.

I think make-up is necessary to wear but for special occasions. If the woman works for a specail company like Fashion, Lawyer, or Modeling things like that then yes. Women dont need to wear make-up 24/7 or if your not going anywhere then deffenitly not. If the woman thinks she needs to wear make-up then that is here desicion.

hello airasheila! i used to ask my colleagues before when i was just starting work why is it part of the company policy for its employees to wear proper makeup during work hours. although i love looking at beautiful women with colorful makeup, i was not so keen on putting some to my face. However, our company HR explained to me that since we are frontline employees, we always deal with clients, there is a need to establish trust and rapport with them. Part of that is to be in proper attire and proper makeup so that we won't look so dull and ashen while we are talking with clients. Besides she told me, imagine yourself looking like you have just gotten out of the grave because you are quite nervous talking with top brass clients, with not even a hint of lipstick, your client would think twice in handing out their project to you. As we know, part of getting that much required respect and trust in working environments depend on the personality you exudes, the physical appearance you present to your colleagues and clients. If they see you as confident even if you are still young because of your well-applied and proper make up, it would make a lot of difference in your work atmosphere. Furthermore, not all women are gifted with really good skin and its not your loss if you will be able to project otherwise with a little aid from makeup, don't you think so? So i would say that in the work environment, as well as in some highly social gatherings, it is really necessary for a woman to wear makeup so that she won't look so dull and ashen, unless of course she is gifted with the perfect skin.

It really depends on the environment. In schools, you don't need to wear makeup. But in the corporate world, it may be necessary. But of course you only need to have light makeup. I only put on beige pressed powder and lipstick daily. the last thing I would want is to look like a walking makeup kit. =)

not really. i know and i see a lot of women who looks better without make up. in my case, i don't put make up aside from concealer, foundation and pressed powder. i can live without foundation but not without concealer. i have problems with dark under eye circles for ages now and it's the only thing that relieves it.

I guess make-up is not a necessity for a woman. Some women are comfortable with make-up, some are not. Some women also prefer not wearing make-up. It all depends on the occasion and the personality of the woman. Make-up is sometimes required at work, so we definitely cannot do anything about that even if we do not like putting make-up on. Some occasions really requires dressing up and putting make up on. That is also uncontrollable. Nonetheless, it is always the woman who chooses to have make-up or not.

Hi Airasheila!. I usually wear make up when I out from my home. I feel naked when I am not wearing it and its help me to feel more confidence. Every one is using it so why don't I. If at home I never wear it. I give chance my skin to relax and breath.

Hi airasheila, well i dont think its necessary , when i go to work i dont wear any make up on my face only a day cream and a lip balm (neutral), if i wear make up on i feel somthing additional on my face which bugs me... But when i go to wedding,cocktails or special occasions i can wear something very light,pastel color and lip gloss thats all...

Wow! That's a loaded question! NO! I don't think it's NECESSARY for a woman to wear make-up. However, used properly it can enhance her good features, and downplay her not so good ones and make her look -- and more importantly feel -- more attractive. Make-up can give a woman confidence and that's important if she's working for a big company with a high profile. But make-up should NOT be something that she is forced to wear... When you say she looks dull without it, I think it's her skin that may seem dull and that can be changed with diet and fresh air!

make up become a part of women uniform, some women wears make up its because they think that they are not beautiful if they don't have it...for them wearing make can add more sexy look,

MAKE-UP! For me, i used to wear make-up but not that heavy, just to enhance what is needed to be enhanced and to cover what is needed to be covered. I wonder too, Why do ladies (not all) who work in companies wear heavy make-up. Their make-up seems to tell the people "Hey! please look at me! I have my make-up on!" do you get what I mean?!

Honestly no I don't. I don't wear makeup often because its important to love how you look instead of trying to hide your imperfection embrace them. I know some women don't feel complete without it. Beauty is what yo make it.

It is necessary for EVERY woman to wear make-up, but the problem is to make it professionaly so any person could look most atractive!!! It is a talent to use make-up on your face as to dress or to style your hair.

I don't think it should be necessary... but unfortunately, the society has made it wave that way. A lot of people are used to it that women would look, I guess duller without it. This is interesting to think about.

the general rule is, yes, it's necessary. it's a requirement. but really, i have other views..... i think the world is just vain and shallow, to judge women (or people in general) by what the eye sees.... of course realistically speaking, it's hard to trust a person who doesn't look well groomed enough . but i think the truth is, there are more untrustworthy well-fashioned women out there , and the sincerely nice ones are them who look simple, dressed casually, and are not the center of attention.

I think it all depends on the situation or environment. If your working environment requires you to meet with clients, a proper attire and make-up is required. Is your job requires no human interaction, then i think is should be okay for you not to makeup. Unless you feel less comfortable without makeups.

god made woman beautiful naturally..!! actually most beautiful ting in the world is the woman..!!if you looking for true beauty in the world,just see the innocence of the woman.i think make up is the artificial beauty and do not have meaning in it.as women should keep their beauty natural.i think they must give more importance to their internal beauty of mind than external artificial beauty..!!

i can do without make up i can go out without makeup.... it is just that when at work light make up is necessary for you not to look worn out and ashen at the end of the day....it is somehow important in attending to clients.
