I also like north Indian food specially stuffed paratha, curri etc. But at home we cook some species of cat fish with bamboo shoot. That's our favourite. At time we try to stuff paratha and have dinner outdoor at our terrace which is so refreshing

Hi Durgabala, In our house, the most popular and most requested dish is the Native Adobo. This is made with chicken or pork and sometimes, we mix them making it Chicken-Pork Adobo. We Filipinos prepare Adobo distinctly with every region and despite the differences in tastes, this is mostly the easiest dish to prepare because there are just 6-8 ingredients needed, mostly spices and seasonings like garlic, pepper, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, bay leaves and broth powder and these are readily found in any kitchen. There is also the fantastic native dish of Kare-kare, but this is more difficult to make and preparation time is much longer. We are also fond of curried dishes but we put coconut milk and ginger to the main ingredient with some more spices and seasonings. Basically, I cook a large variety of dishes from meat, beef and pork to vegetable to fish/seafoods and poultry but the best is still Adobo. I wish someday I could learn to cook recipes indigenous to other countries or just even get to taste them. That would surely be a great food adventure. Have a nice day!

Our favorite dishes depend entirely on seasons. In summer and autumn we bake potatoes and make cold sauce containg of sour cream, cucumber, tomatoes and fresh onion. In winter we put potatoes and pork together in the oven in midafternoon and eat it at 6 o'clock. Just for for variety we make mashed potaoes and sometimes spaghetti with bolognese sauce =).

We have a favorite dish - Sindhi Curry Chawal with aloo touk. (A different type of French fries made in the Sindhi way). This is the favorite Sunday afternoon meal at home. I too live in South India, but am a North Indian, and we do relish some of the dishes like Dosa and some special types of Idlis. I personally also relish the Tamil vegetarian (Quite unlike most Nort Indian's, I am a vegetarian) rice and other courses served on a plantain leaf, Our all time favorite sweet dishes are the Gulab Jamun and Kaju Katli. Any sort of ice cream with a halwa (Like Gajjar or Doohi Halwa) is a favorite dessert for us.

I would say that some of that favorites in my house are pizzas and tacos though they aren't the healthiest foods. Also poutine which is likely the most unhealthy dish in the world is french fries loaded in cheese curds and poutine gravy sauce. I am in Eastern Canada where wild blueberries grow aplenty and I would say that my families favorite thing would be freshly pick wild blueberries with a bit of can milk and sugar sprinkled on them. YUM!
