The website has launched and is accessible. The pre-launch website didn't look all that professional, and neither does what they have up now. The website is telling me to check back tomorrow as there are no jobs available to me today. With there being 400,000+ registered members, I kind of doubt I'll ever get a job offer with them, if they are in fact legitimate and are in fact offering jobs to some individuals out there. I'll feel better about the website when I see proof of payment from someone, but right now, I'm mainly concerned they are going to sell the contact information of all the registered members and eventually disappear.

Most probably not. In the past I have seen pre-launch sites disappearing before the actual launch date. Several still exist but without actually going into business. These sites attracted members by adopting the strategy of promising lucrative returns after the launch date. Using this strategy a lot of personal information can be harnessed in a short time. The actual motive is to make real profit from the information gathered. The business model of website tester is not viable. Though a company may pay some money for one or two reviews, no company would pay for multiple reviews of its website. Imagine paying a huge sum of money to various individuals for the same thing. I believe they have their own consultants. IMRCm MCrew, and Scour are good examples on why I believe WebSitetester will be a non-starter.

I read on their site that they are now waiting for 400,000 before launching. I agree, though, it can't be a good sign. They do keep updating the number of registered users. Who knows if that is a real figure, though ;) I guess we'll just have to continue to patiently wait................................................ (hopefully not too much longer ;)! Lets hope for the best!

I agree... I'm a little worried about extending the date out too! If they are getting THAT many to sign up, it shouldn't be taking DAYS to finish up the additional 400,000. Good thing for me is unlike other pre-launches, I signed up and threw up the website in my TE's. This time, I DID NOT invest any money!!! Let's all keep our fingers cross. Guess we all just wait!!!!!!
