i use umbrella in sun because in our place, the sun shines too brightly and its too hot to handle, before you knew it, you'll have sun burns and possible to get a dark skin in just a few hours of exposure,,, ^^

yes, it is necessary to use umbrella even during sunny days. but it's up to the person if they'll use one. the sun's rays these days isn't what it used to be. it can actually hurt your skin (almost like sun burn) and may be a cause to skin cancer if not just darker toned skin.

I normally do not use an umbrella on sunny days but can see some do as they may have very sensitive skin and sun screen alone is not enough.

Hi! The sun never bothers me. I used to play tennis anytime of the day. I remember even playing at high noon when I got so mad with my boss and took the lunch break off to play tennis and imagined the ball to be my boss (lol). Besides, being cooped up inside the four walls of an airconditioned room, I welcome the feel of the sun on my skin. Too, I keep forgetting my umbrella I gave up on buying one.

In my country in the past umbrellas are used as an accessory especially by women in all weather conditions. Nowadays I can't see anyone on the street using it in summertime. They don't even use it in winter. One reason for this is there isn't enough rainy weathers to carry an umbrella, another reason almost everyone has a car so noone has to carry an umbrella. I use umbrellas in winter when there is rain but in summer I am a bit shy using it. I've never used umbrella in summer.

My daughters play soccer so I have attended a few tournaments this summer. We were fortunate enough to have great weather. On the first day I didn't use an umbrella but when the headache kicked in that night, I was sitting under an umbrella in the sun the next day. It is nice to sit in the warm sunshine, but too much is not good.

Yes, I use umbrella during sunny days most of the time to avoid getting skin cancer and too much wrinkles so I wear sun glasses, too.

I do not use umbrella in sun, but the truth is that I try not to be in the sun much and I am from a country in which the sun shines really much only a few weeks during the year. Though, scientists say that it is good to be in the sun 15 minutes twice a week during the summer. It makes the body to produce more vitamin D.
