How does your culture affects your mind?

Your question is very difficult to answer. I´m sure that the fact of my being chilean has affected my way of seeing things. To begin with, I just cannot imagine a place where I would feel at home if I can´t see mountains nearby. The Andes have been so near that they are there even when I close my eyes. That also means a sense of seclusion and a feeling of having limits for everything. I think that our climate has also molded my mind. As with culture, we have a chilean-western culture with a lot of cultural colonialism made by the big industries (such as Coca Cola, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Mc Donald) and even with the import of words and holidays that don´t have any real meaning here but are just outer dresses to ape other countries and ways of living.
