Yep! You know I've been experimenting with curry powder. Well I found a delicious crock pot meal! I am eating a bowl right now!I put a piece of chicken, some fresh cabbage, onions and carrots in the crock pot. I add some salt, pepper and curry powder. I have been increasing the curry a little at a time as it can be strong but so far it's been great! I let it cook, make some brown rice and there ya go! The perfect meal! I love it when experiments taste great, don't you?

I actually don't know a whole lot about the difference. I do know that there is red and yellow curry, and I think theyy are used by different countries. I have had both and they are both pretty good.

That sounds delicious, I love experimenting with foods too. I don't know what I'd do without my slow cooker(what we Brits call your 'crockpot') I use it mostdays. I've never made a chicken curry soup although I make muligatawny soup which is a curried soup. Thanks for sharing

This sounds really yummy...I have a ton of rice. when I go shopping on Friday I am going to pick up some curry powder..Are you using yellow curry? I buy chicken leg quarters since they are cheap and we are on a very tight budget..These are very versatile since I can fry, bake, grill or stew them...A 10 pound bag will usually cost about 7.00 dollars or less and I can usually get about 5 meals out of it..

Hi, macdingolinger. I know what you mean! I love trying new things myself! I am sure that your curry soup came out just as delicious as you have prepared it. I hope that you will enjoy every bite of it.

Hi ya macdingolinger I was wondering how your curry experiments were going and would appear they are going quite well haha. Most things I try to make tend to go completely wrong

Hi, Yummy...curry chicken is one of my favourite dish. and I just cook it yesterday for my lunch. Both me and my husband love to eat curry chicken. It is best to eat with plain rice, vermicelli or french loaf. All are great combination for curry chicken. It is pretty simple to cook curry chicken. Since the curry paste is available in supermarket, just grab whatever brand you like most, buy chicken , potatoes. Of course, you can always add other ingredients like long bean, cabbage, carrot, etc. For me, I will use either coconut milk or evaporated milk for my curry chicken. But I found that evaporated milk taste better. It is great to have curry chicken on rainy day...so yummy!! You did mention that you add some pepper into your curry, will it taste very spicy? For me, I like to add some curry leaves and lemongrass into the soup,it definitely bring the curry soup more aromatic.Give it a try next time!! Happy cooking.
