How often do you exercise?

I am feeling lack of energy nowadays.... easily felt sleepy/tired. I think the only way to get out of this is to exercise in a regular basis. I remembered when i was in school i did exercise regularly and that was when i seem to be most healthy. Due to work and family, now i exercise less... in fact sometimes don't exercise at all. Do you exercise on a regular basis, say everyday before going to work? How do you force yourself out of bed daily just to exercise :p Thanks

i'm still in school so i get to exercise during pe time~ i play basketball twice a week~!:) i love the feeling of being soaked in sweat after each game. so refreshing~ i actually wish that i could play more. but we're not allowed to play without the instructor around to avoid injuries and stuff. *sigh*

Haha... good for you. During my schooling time, myself too like PE... At least can play with friends and enjoy instead of listening to boring speech from teachers :D Happy day to you and do make it a habit to exercise...even when you are not schooling anymore :D

Do believe in yourself, don't think of anything negative or else your brain will process it negatively. Remember now that you love exercise and it is your routine to exercise and it makes you happy and healthy. Congratulations!!

I agree with you. When I am in college, I go running or swimming every night and I feel really good. But when I go back home in the holiday, I can't get myself off the computer, what I do everyday are sleeping, eating, and surfing the Internet. I get to feel tired, but I just can't move myself. To be lazy is the nature of man. And my method to force myself to get out is to call friends to exercise, may you can't control yourself, but when being with others you have to do it, because friends will blame you when they get together and you stay at home. Feeling of guilt get you to exercise with friends.

I do not have time to exercise also, sometimes I try to squeeze in 30 mins of workout after work but I do not know that much to be able to do the exercises properly. I have never been into exercise before when I was younger. I didn't think that it was necessary since I used to have an active lifestyle. Now all I do is sit in front of the computer and work. I think I also have to start the habit of exercising

Let us start to make some change to our lifestyle. Sitting all the time in front of the computer is not a good thing at all. It spoils our eyesight and also harm our body. Physical exercise is still most important to stay healthy other than having balanced and healthy food.

I don't really exercise a lot. It's just because I am so lazy. LOL. I just drink multivitamins in the morning, and I have found that it helps me not feel too tired and so down at the end of the day. It really does work and really does help me with my stress specially at work.

Multivitamins might help you not feeling tired etc. But exercise is also important to keep our body fit and muscles stretched. If possible, do try to exercise a bit. Maybe some yoga or jogging will be good :D

Great. Taking bike to school is really a good exercise anyway. However, do be careful on the road as sometimes cars do drive very fast on the road. Now i don't even have a bike at home, maybe should buy one :p

Sometimes, mere walking is not enough. Walking only moves part of our body such as legs and hands. Anyway, some exercise is better than no exercise at all.

I don't do gym work-out. The only exercise I do is walking. Brisk walking in the mall. House chores is also a work-out for me.

Good to find someone like me here :p Anyway, we must start to keep our hands and legs moving and start to exercise soon or else we will be even weaker in no time. All the best and hopefully both of us can make exercise a daily habit instead of something we hate. Cheers and have a nice day!

I don't have a regular exercise routine. I am lazy too.haha! I know, exercise is very important. I stroll in the mall for almost 2 hours just to walk and walk. I am not sedentary in my work as a nurse, since we also need to walk around the hall and visit our patients. I do household work. I think it is not enough though. I need determination!

The only exercise I do is when I have to walk for long distances when going to and fro from school. I usually opt to walk instead of commuting if I can, I mean, I can't walk all the way to school because that would be crazy. When there's no school I would do brisk walking around our subdivision early in the morning when it's still dark and cold out. The eeriness keeps me awake and alert because anything could jump out at you like flying cockroaches.

I sometimes exercise whenever I have free time, not necessarily every morning because I'll get tired of it if it's monotonous. It doesn't have to be a full cardio workout...some stretching or jogging in place just to stay in shape. I feel better by doing them even for just a few minutes.

Yup, riding a bike to work is good exercise. However, our traffic here is very much congested and it is dangerous to cycle to work. Anyway, good that it works for you.

Hi asxenon, It's work that hinders us in doing our regular exercise. I used to jog every morning last year for an hour. When work demands most of my time (i stayed in the office till 7 pm and still work in my room till 12 midnight) i became to lazy to get up 5:30 in the morning to have my regular jog hours. I developed another form exercise and a different schedule. That is 7:00 pm an hour after dinner i do fitness dancing in my room for 1 hour. But when the occupants of the room below mine came back i have to stop. I go back to jog now in the afternoon after office before i sit long hours in front of my laptop again to do my online task but not regularly. I can only do it when it is not raining :(

Seems like you do have good motivation to ensure you had some exercise at the end of the day. Hopefully i can take this as an example and set some time to exercise... maybe yoga also would be great :p. Thanks again and have fun! Staring at computer the whole day is nothing good, some exercise will help us relax and keep us fit :D

I try to have regular exercise at least a few times a week. The way we treat our bodies now determines how our bodies treat us in the future. Good health is important for a happy life. We only have one body so we need to give it the proper attention it needs.

You are correct, we need to treat our body well when we are able to. Else when we grow older, our body will betray us and we will not be able to do things we like then :D Let Exercise :D

That is true. Energy begets energy. When you move around all day, you tend to increase the energy level of your body. However, the opposite happens when you sit all day long or sleep much of the time, you become lazy and you have the tendency to stay in one place feeling tired and exhausted even if you did not even lift a finger.

Great that you think in this way. Exercise is really important to our body. Without exercise, you'll be weak and get sick easily. Keep up your good job and don't let laziness influence your schedule to exercise :p

Haha, I admit that I am lazy when it comes to exercising. I do a lot of walking, and I go jogging and biking sometimes, but that's probably the most I do to 'exercise'. A couple of months ago I started an easy exercise program I invented myself, but I don't know, I guess I just don't really have the time and the discipline to continue with it. :P
