Happiness is a choice...

We are all given the gift of free will. things that happen in our lives, if not our choice, how we react to it still falls on our free will. And thus i say happiness is a choice. you know what makes you happy and probably what will make you sad. I'm sure you'd not choose to do or to be in a position where you'd be depressed and be sad. Yes there are some things that are out of our control, but everything happens for a reason, there would always be the positive and negative aspect. And yes you could always choose to look at the brighter side and continue to be happy.

You are definitely right. How you accept things as it happens will depend entirely on you. Of course it is hard to smile or act as if nothing happens when something bad goes wrong. But for as long as you take things on the bright side, then there is no problem so hard to solve and eventually happiness is just a thought away. Most people spend to much time worrying rather than thinking of how to solve a problem.

I kind of agree that happiness is a choice. But I think I have had depression probably most of my life. My depression is due to chemical imbalance but I also think it is a combination of things (problems, financial situation, environment, anxiety, fears, news, state of the world and the environment etc.). I try to count my blessings but I still feel depressed.

I am totally agree with you. Happiness is a choice. Every morning we can make a choice, we can choose to be happy and every moments count. It is good to start the day right and looking at things positively. Good and positive events attract more positive events. As a Chinese saying " ALL well ends well"

Indeed. Good things and bad things happen to everyone. How we react towards these things is what sets each one of us apart from each other. That's where our choice comes into play. No matter how bad things are, if we choose to be happy, we would be happy. On the contrary, no matter how good things are, if we choose to be not happy, then, we become that - not happy.

Yeah, you're right. It's an important thing that how we face to life because life is always too short for us.If we didn't take our time to do things that are significant, worthy and led a happy life we would regret for the time we had lost.We should always face the next day optimisticly and bravely and cherish every moment, every second we gain from life.Try to be a happy person and try to face difficulty with a light-hearted attitude. It is the true meaning ,isn't it?
