We sure do. Ours is usually on the 4th of July. But this year we also had one yesterday for Labor Day. I think it was a good last Hurrah of summer

We, like you, have an annual BBQ on or around the 4th of July. It's a time where everyone (friends and family) can get off work and come and just hang out. We pull out the big ol grill and just pile on the food. We enjoy this time and look forward to each and every year. I'd like to have more of them, but it seems as the years change, our daily lives change too and we all get way to busy to have any get togethers and family events. I like to think back to when I was growing up, it seemed like we were always going to BBQ's, cook-outs, fish frys, and such.

We don't really have a lot of big to-dos because of our place being so small, though when we plan on grilling we'll try to invite hubby's dad over and maybe 1 or 2 other people. We did shish kabobs on Sunday and had FIL over for that.. it was nice. Hubby's sister used to do a big Memorial Day get together.. but she hasn't done anything of that sort in years and even if she did we don't get along with her well so we probably wouldn't go anyways.

We grill out when we can and invite people over as well, but we don't usually have a set day that we do. I don't remember if we grilled out on the 4th or not to be honest.

Hello ersmoomy1, No we never in our family had barbeques. With nine children my mother was too afraid. I tried when I was older with my kids and put way to much chacaol fluid on it. Nothing caught fire so I was happy and that was the end of that. They get barbeques at there nannas each year it is usually Memorial Day and 4th of July. Thanks and have a great day Sincerley Unique16
