hard disk boot failure..help..

one of my personal computers is having a problem of "hard disk boot failure" very frequently..i fix it by removing the hard drive power cord then putting it back again..but after i turn it off for today and use it tomorrow, the same thing happens again..so i fix it again using the same method as before..every time i use my computer i will have to do this..are there any permanent solutions to this kind of problem?..furthermore, what could be causing such a problem?..
