Perhaps eventually the pastor mentioned in http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100908/ap_on_re_us/quran_burning will accept the reality that we have to be kind to all people of all religions ... What do you think?

I read the news on the link you gave and was terrified by the intended plan and possible consequences. I hope he realizes pretty soon what the act would mean globally.

Perhaps a city ordinance requiring a "burning permit" could make Jones think again. I think the US govt will come up with something before 9/11. I agree that Jones' intended actions can get many American's killed all over the world... What do you think ?

Hi ruperto! Am not sure about the burning ban but I do sincerely hope the US govt will come up with something. The followers of Quran are everywhere in the world and would affect host countries. I hate to think of what would happen if this burning is pushed through by the pastor.

Yes I can agree with that- but with kindness comes respect for one another's beliefs, and that is where the problem really lies. We see alot of it even here on mylot. People who respond to discussions attacking the discussion creator or its participants. I have always felt the need to respect what others believe- whether it be religion, politics or any other controversial debate. If more people did this- there would be less fighting and more kindness ;) ~ just my opinion.

I agree warmweatherwoman. Kindness and respect could assure a better world, a better MyLot. It seems to be an interesting art to act positively when others are not so kind or not so respectful. What do you think ?

I agree that we have to be kind to all people of all religions. No one wish to get hurt and I think no one truly wants to hurt others. It'll be nice if we could be good to all people and they do the same. The world will be peaceful.

regarding your question, we need more than kindness and understanding when dealing with differences in religion...we need to respect each other's culture and preferences. Thanks for providing the link.
