What made you smile today?

Okay all a lot of my posts sometimes on here can be lean toward the negative side, so I wanted to share a positive one today. I was just outside with my son and my 2 year old golden retriever, the way they run around and chase each other brings a smile to my face. When she chases "her boy" around the yard, with her big floppy ears, I can't help myself but to laugh. What brought a smile to your face today?

Congratulations, now that is really a wonderful reason to smile. I know when I finally graduated college, it was a big relief and a big smile is definitely in order.

Dearra. I told her her gym clothes were in the dryer. She freaked out at all the stuff on top of it. That's when I told her the door was on the front of the dryer....

My grandchildren always make me smile but my ten year old grandson not only made me smile, he made me laugh while he gave the presentation he had given in school today to me this afternoon. It was about a planet of his own creation...named after him...and it was pretty cool!

That sounds like a great afternoon. So cute that he named his planet after himself, just so like a child.

When I looked online, and saw that this (2)week's pay was already credited on my bank account. The first week of the month is usually when most of my bills are automatically debited, and so I was feeling a little anxious these past few days seeing that funds on my bank account was running low. Seeing it available on line, without incurring any 'insufficient fund' notice from the bank did make me smile!

That's awesome to hear bounce! Their are certain times in the month that I get nervous too because I know that a payment is to come out of my account, but am not sure if the funds are in the account!

I totally understand, that always makes me happy to. Such a scary feeling when you are worried that your bills can't be paid. Plus all the charges the bank will give you can make you go a little crazy, when we work so hard for each dollar we make.

I have been home all day hassling with my internet as for some reason my upstairs neighbors new connection skewed up mine for the last 3 days. So while hassling for three days and made to wait one more before they send a technician to fix the problem, I stumbled across your posted discussion. This my friend put a big giant smile on my face today! It so nice to read that for a moment you had a great laugh. God bless hon we need this more often.

Yes, I know for a fact that you and I do not have these moments as much as we should. Something about that big dog of mine and her floppy ears just makes me smile. I hope your internet is all squared away.

Watching a movie called Hachi with Richard Gere, based on the true story of a college professor's bond with the abandoned dog. It had its funny moments but it's a tear-jerker, at least it was for me. Glad you were smiling today!

I never heard of that movie, I am a big fan of Richard Gere, but I get sad enough on my own, can't watch those tear jerker movies.

Hiya aurora, What a nice name aurora. Anyway what made me smile today. My Husband I asked him something and the answer made me smile because I was talking about one thing and him thinking about another. But it was a very funny answer. He said well you get them from the Chemists where do you think you get them from. Now it won´t sound funny to anyone else except me but he made me smile and laugh. Your Dog would have brought a smile to my face too. In fact it already has I can see it running around the Yard wanting to play with your Son.

Hiya aurora, Is she really snoring under your Desk? That´s nice she must be really happy then hope she has really nice Dreams. I came across a Photo of a cat in a Wicker Basket with an old fashioned Straw Hat on with Sun Glasses to match and that made me smile. Cats can be so funny sometimes too.

Thank you for that. I am sure it was really funny, men do this all the time not listening and at times it can be hysterical. Still thinking about my dog makes me smile as right now she is snoring below my desk.

Hi dear, Today is a boring day for me. Even I don't think I got a chance to laugh with a good reason. I was so serious because of some other people who made me more disturbed. However, I was so happy that when I offered praying and I was smiling also at that time. Regards, Thank-s

Hi dear, Prayer is a kind of self realisation and getting merged our mind into a unknown power. If it is with a smile, what else we can get it from that? Thanks for your comments. Regards, Thank-s

You need to find a way to not let people disturb you. They are not worth it if they make you upset. Prayer always helps so I am glad that you finally found your smile during your prayers.

Nothing today. First day back at work after a week off. Feels like I'm in the jail I sent a picture of with my last post! Except that it's too warm here: there it's cold!

I understand, being at work is so hard sometimes to find anything at all to smile about. I hope when you got home you finally had a smile even for a minute, you deserve it.

I was watching a movie with my 5 year old son and suddenly he wanted to change the channel to some kids section, i requested him to wait as i wanted to finish the movie, to which he turned adamant and sai he could not wait. So i said, okay you can take the remote and change the channel, i do not mind missing the end. I could not beleive when he took the remote but did not change the channel, he simply said, mom i want you to see the end. I could not beleive that and it made me very happy. I personally feel whenever you are ready to give up in life that is when you get the best. So have fun and try to give up more to your loved ones.

When kids do something so unexpected like this, it is rare and then it can warm your heart for days. I am glad your son realized how much it meant to you, that is wonderful. I agree with you some days all you feel like doing is giving up, but then when you get moments like this it makes you realize what is most important. Money is a huge stress but family is way more important than worrying about money everyday.

what made me smile today was the message of my boyfriend when i woke up. my boyfriend is in Syria while i am in the Philippines and i haven't seen him for 3 months and i miss him so much. so today when i woke up and saw his message even without reading it yet it made me smile. i know my day would be brighter than the days that pass. he just said that he wished he was with me greeting me good morning and giving me my good morning kiss. simple but really sweet.

Hi ya aurorastorm It is 10.30am ish here in the UK and I can honestly say that nothing has made me smile as yet. I am staring at a huge pile of laundry, it is raining and the kids are shouting with a neighbouring child at the game they are playing on some games console which I sure will end unsatisfactory at some point, hahah that just made me smile, I give up telling them it is only a game hahaha Have a good day!!

See we can always find something to smile about, even in the craziness of our day. You have to smile at the craziness sometimes because that is all we have most days.

My parents went to a friend's son's weeding yesterday and told me they had a lot of fun. It made me smile because I'm happy for them, since they're usually working a lot and don't really go out that much... so it was nice that they could do that together and have such a good time :)

I have wanted to try skype, because my best friend lives far away from me as well. Just have not spent the money yet to get it. Glad to know you can communicate well with your friend to still laugh.
