Fall is in the air. The leaves on the trees are turning red and beginning to fall to the ground. The crickets are sluggish. It's gloomy and much cooler. The smell of rain is in the air today. What's happening in your part of the country?

It's cool here but not cold. I dread the snow coming in a couple of months. It's so pretty but hate to drive in it. Thanks for responding.

There are crisp mornings and evenings....just right for sleeping. The squirrels are so busy scattering about with walnuts in their little mouths getting ready for winter...the leaves have just begun to turn.....and I am getting ready for the fall craft show! LOL

Well, it had been cooler around here, which has been great. But today, although it wasn't technically really hot, the humidity makes it seem like it is a lot hotter. I hate it when the weather make me feel sticky by just stepping outside. I can't complain though. We have had a lot of rain, but no tornadoes. This time of the year in Oklahoma, if we have rain storms, tornado weather seems to be around too. Not right now. Which is good.

We got those nasty tornadoes too. Am so afraid of them. Today was a gorgeous day here but am sure that will end. Our weather changes so fast. Thanks for responding.

This the best time of the year here in the Ozarks. We got about an inch of rain last night from the storms that went through. A cold front has moved through and lowered the temperature. The clouds have moved on out and now the sun is shinning and the temperature is about the mid 70s so it is nice. I have turned off the Ac and opened the windows to allow the fresh air to pass through. The trees are still green and have not started to turn color yet, but won't be long before they start. It has been a good summer so the colors should be great this fall. I may even take some photos and post them on my blog. http://ozarkviews.blogspot.com/

The Ozarks is always so pretty. Been awhile since I was there on vacation. We have a beautiful day today with the sun shining and the wind gently blowing. Big Rams day today since it's the season opener. Thanks for responding.

We came out last year to see the rams get beat by the colts. Was going to try the chiefs this year but already can't get tickets, except in the nosebleed section so we are going to palm Springs instead.

It's a nice break now between summer and winter but I still prefer the heat. I can always cool off but can't always warm up! It's just my internal makeup. I hate to drive in the snow if it's slick. Don't mind when it only snows on the grass and makes the trees glisten. Thanks for responding.

Hi carolbee! It is the same here in NY! It has already gotten a bit chillier lately. We haven't been having those Summer temps or humidity and the night temps have gotten downright nippy!lol And I'm not complaining, at least not yet! And, the leaves have started turning and falling, which is a bit early, I think. And I am getting ready to go to Florida ten days where it is the middle of hurricane season! I saw the weather forecast it it says "thunderstorms" everyday! I hope I can get some sun and swimming. I am going to see my Mom to take care of some stuff, but I love to swim and tan!

Have a great time in Florida. It's one of my favorite states. Be careful of those nasty hurricanes. The leaves are turning early this year. Usually happens in October. Thanks for responding.

Ours are turning yellow so far. Some days are dark and cloudy, but others are bright and sunny.

Hi. carolbee. It is in the early, 60 degrees right now. It is sunny and cool outside. I have not been outside yet, but I can tell that it is very cool just by looking out of the window. The wind is blowing and my bedrooms are cooler when I walk in them. For the past couple of nights, my husband had to turn on the Central Heat, because it was very cold in our bedroom at night.

Your timing is perfect! It rained today. In fact it was a series of thunder storms passing over. Haven't seen rain for several months so it was a good change. Colder too! Turned the fan off in the early morning hours. Yes, the change has come - bye bye summer!

Much the same. The leaves are starting to change color, the wind has picked up now, the air has become chilly, the days seem to be a little shorter now, its starting to get darker a little earlier every day. The children have all returned to school. Soon the bold colors of autumn will be upon us, the grocery store and markets will fill with local produce. Before we know it there will be little goblins at the door. I love fall. :)
