I know this feature is available in all the phones but it come s with a cost attached to it. In US where there is a standard data plan we can do lots of these SMS and MMS. But in my place they are charging SMS also heavily. I cant think about MMS either. But i have some experience on it too. My GF send her photo on MMS where i have to check it. So i checked via the MMS service. It is always good to use those features on a MMS. I also tried to send my snap via MMS and it was a good and final experience too. Share your thoughts on the same and how useful is it to you.

I only use MMS function to send my voice recording to my girlfriend, and she also does the same. Normal SMS is not enough for us, and we surely can't send long video through MMS. So voice recording is our best choice. In my country we can send a file with 300kb to 500kb size, and with telephone sound quality it can deliver 5 minutes recording. Sweet!

Since I don't want to pay extra money to send or receive MMS, so I canceled it. I don't think MMS is very important for me. Today the email is quite convenient, I prefer people to send it to my email box because I often check it. I just don't want them to send it by MMS. I love China

Yes, MMS is really expensive! I had a phone that had a fairly decent camera in it, but didn't have a usb lead for connecting to a computer, and my computer doesn't have infra red. So, the only way to get photo's out of the phone was by MMS. I found a cgi-bin script that mimicked a MMS server and put it on my web site. Then I changed my phone settings and sent the MMS messages direct to my own site for free! This is legal, although your phone provider will probably still object! Check your terms to see if you MUST use their MMS service. SMS can also be sent for free from many, many Internet sites.

I do use the mms on my phone, but not extensively. I do send pics to my daughter and she to me, but mostly she or I will put them on the computer and post them to facebook. I do have a farily good camera on my phone, but since I do have a separate digital camera, I prefer to use that as I can put them on my computer as well. I just basically use my phone for talking and sometimes I use the internet, but I don'[t use that extensively either. Take care, and have a very good day.

Hello xorticanz, There was a time, about three years ago when airtel made MMS free. I used it that time, i used to send MMS instead of SMS because SMS was still charged. And you have to agree it was fun, fun to send pics and audio clips. I wish MMS was free now, i would at times send my girlfriend some of my pics, probably funny ones just to make her smile. :) Well, SMS isn't costly now, you could perhaps activate some SMS offer and send messages for free. Too bad, it isn't the same with MMS. It would have been fun. But sending and retrieving MMS takes times and i could not chat like i do with SMS, lol.
