Would you give your cell number to a stranger?

cellphone, cellphone number - would you give your number to a stranger?

"Can I have your number?"---If a stranger approaches you and would ask you this just because he/she thinks you're cute, would you give it? ...For me, if he/she would tell me it's for business matters, more likely I would give it...But just for the sake of having an admirer, I don't think so...Even if he looks very handsome and attractive to me, it wouldn't matter.

No (even though it would boost my ego if I ever experience one haha).

Actually I don't even like to talk to a stranger. So I don't think I will give a stranger my cellphone number because it is personal. I may think out a way to decline it. I love China

I have given my number out for a business sake before. For a personal reasons like you mentioned, some total strager wanting my phone number because she thinks I'm cute? I don't know. I might have to think about that. Like others here, I have to get to know someone well enough before giving out my phone numbers.

Whatever reason he/she has for asking, i don't usually give my cellphone number to anybody that i don't know especially so to a total stranger. Not unless it is business but even so, there are lots of people out there also who like to play monkey business. Better to be safe than sorry.

I've experienced a lot of these ever since I entered college. The first time it ever happened was when I was leisurely walking home and this guy approached me from behind and asked for directions. After that, I thought the guy would walk on ahead but no~ he started asking questions like where I'm headed and if we can walk together and so on. When we parted ways, he asked for my cellphone number and I, for some idiotic reason, gave it to him. When I got home, he started sending me messages wanting to meet up and stuff but I flat out rejected the invite and all the other meet ups he wanted. He kept calling too and his messages started getting creepier like there was this one where he said that he was always waiting where we met and stuff and that it was love at first sight, etc. I stopped replying to his messages and answering his calls after receiving messages like that. He eventually stopped after a few months. Ever since then, whenever a stranger approaches me and asks for my cellphone number, I refuse immediately no matter how much that person tells me that he's not a bad person or anything similar. XD

No i don't. Why should I. I don't even know him/her. And not even sure that hes is talking the truth. Maybe if he was introduced by my friend and acquittance. I will. But with a total stranger. Never.

you are very firm. but as to me ,i think when i was in that condition ,i could be hesitate , reject other's request can be rude.and sometimes give stranger your number could be insecurity.

I'm not too concerned at all about giving out my cell phone number, but that perhaps is more in online scenarios. I use it when I have to fill out memberships and I never get any prank or junk calls. I don't know about giving it to a random strange who approaches me, though... if they were cute, perhaps. ;)
