Take a look at all the things you have bought over the last 5 years. Is it junk? Was it a great buy? Was it a productive purchase? Did you really need and use that item? What are some of the things you bought that were a waste of money? Still have that metal detector in the closet? Fess up!

The best thing i bought was my new flat screen tv. It fills the space in my living room better. Some of the things that I bought and just dont use are the baby bath tub. I used it twice, and then just washed my daughter in the kitchen sink. The changing table. Most of the time I am changing her down on the main floor. I hardly ever use it, and if it werent part of the furniture set I would sell it. I dont have a metal detector in the closet but i do have a nice picnic basket that registered for when i got married that has only been used for pictures.

Suprisingly, the most money I've wasted in the last five years was on books. Money has been rare in the last five years, so I haven't really bought too many things that weren't necessities. I don't even buy that many books anymore. And if do, I prefer to go to the used book stores. But thinking about it now, I've actually wasted some money because there are several books that I've purchased, yet haven't read and don't really want to anymore.

I love books. I got one for 69 cents at the thrift store the other day.

i shop at thrift stores most of the time and one of my last ventures there, i came home with a vintage brooch, but i guess i didnt look at it close enough because it was a little marked up. i also bought one of etsy and it wasnt in the best of shape. i was somewhat mislead. I collect vintage brooches and although they may be a waste of money, i enjoy wearing them.

It doesn't sound like waste...it sounds nice.
