There you are staring at me...

And speaking of annoying, there's that (1) next to friends, just staring at me. I've rejected you three times already. Why? Well, you haven't responded to any of my discussions, or anybody else's, and the only one you posted yourself got deleted because it was an attempt to get referrals, which is a guideline violation. Now I don't really want to leave that darn (1) staring at me for the rest of my life, I really don't. I like tying up my loose ends, dealing with friend requests, responding to messages, replying back to people who have visited my discussions, etc. etc. etc. But I just know that if I accept your "friend" request, I will get spammed. And if I reject it, you will just send me another one. What are you anyway, a bot? Or don't you even remember who you sent requests to? I suppose I could accept the request, send you a message telling you I'm going to delete you and why, and then delete you. Maybe if I'm fast, I won't get spammed in the process. I don't like any of those choices. Why are you making me choose? OK so if it were you, and you decided to accept, send a message and delete, what message would you send? Or would you report the person?

I just let the (1) stare at me. Go ahead, stare and stare some more. It's creepy, I'm his/her only friend? *shivers*... Maybe I should decline, too, and see what happens.

Ok so what is really interesting here is that this person has been a member for 1 month so far. This person has 1 interest. This person has started a couple of discussions that have been deleted and responded to absolutely none. None at all. And yet for all the complaints about these sort of people, I see that this person has collected almost 750 friends and the number is growing daily. Some of this person's friends are very reputable members here. It would seem that accepting their friendship would only encourage them to continue on the same path. Seems to be working.

I got (11) staring at me.........it was (10) yesterday. I go in and check on them every now and then and once I see their post counts stay the same for about a month, I delete them. Sometimes I turn the AC off and tell them we're out of water.

I have two right now..they been there for a month. I accepted them but after a few weeks deleted them because yeah they spammed me with junk. Next thing I know they ask to be re-added. I denied them twice and now they are stuck in limbo..but it can be annoying dealing with people that can't take no as a answer the people only have 1-4 post..and been that way for the last few months.

No, usually I only join sites that friends or family have joined and gotten paid first..before joining. The few times I tried joining sites on my own..just didn't pan out so now I just avoid alot..and they have to be close friends or ones I have known awhile, before I join a site.

I don´t have any patience with these ""friend" spammers. Besides, they are there (the spams) forever, dirtying and making a mess of your own PMs. Many times in my life I have said alound whay would I do if I was the president of my country. Now I´m a little more modest and want to be a cop to give tickets to traspasers of all kinds. Here at my lot, I´d make a rule that noone can ask to be anyone´s friend until they have reached at least the 50 number. Don´t you hate those "friends" with 0 (zero) posts)? Join me and you´llhave500 bucks in no time at all, they say. I think that we should probably join forces and and report them. They are even spamming my mailbox. HUG!

I hate that (1) too. Accept them, PM them and tell them you don't like them and only accepted to tell them so also, that their attention is most unwelcome and if they continue to send you messages you will report them and ask for them to be removed...whatever, use your own words but no humour or sarcasm...I don't think they get it. Tell admin who it is and ask them to deal with it. Tell me who it is and I will annoy them....muhahahahaha.

I ignore them...and don't accept their invitation to be their friend....or delete them after they pull something. I agree about many of the points you have made. You accept a friend then they never respond to any of your discussions but start about 5 a day themselves....any friendship is a two way street....

I have one of those "friends" in the holding cell right now. They sit there until they get bored and leave Mylot. This person has no discussions and has responded to none. They just sit there in limbo.

I know it, heh? These people that do this are just so annoying. Someone here had the idea of a way to block certain ones. Now that would be the perfect solution. Maybe we should start a petition for that little feature. It could be a very cool solution to not only the spammers but the trolls as well. If we block an individual then they can't respond to any of our discussions or request our friendship. Kind of like a restraining order so to speak. We could all petition mylot admin. to give us this little feature. Let's do it! Or we could start a discussion about it and get everyone's thoughts out there and then make sure the right people see it. Let's do it!

I have a creepy 4) staring at me every time come here and it annoys me a great deal but I am unsure as to what to do with what makes up that number. They are new with no more than 4 (here’s that number again) posts to their name and they have been sitting behind the creepy 4) for ages with no real changes. Report? Nah…not in my case…I would delete and hope the cycle will end but if it doesn’t on say, the third time I would report.

Did I sound arrogant in my response above? Sorry Dawn. I was the end of my myLot shift and I was in a hurry. Anyway, I agree that some people are here only for the money - the wrong way - sometimes. At first they appear sincere about adding you as friend, but no.

Hi, Dawnald. :) I also have that (6) staring right at me and I have the same thought of deleting them or not. I kinda dilly dally in accepting, too. Maybe, we can keep on deleting them id they keep on sending such request, ei? And hopefully, eventually, they will get tired of sending their request... Have a great day.:)

I guess since I'm anonymous here anyway, I wouldn't feel guilty about deleting without word or reporting (though I haven't done either yet!). I hate when I add a person and then I get that referral message . . . very annoying. I just don't waste my time answering back (assuming maybe they weren't going to read it anyway). And since I don't check my emails, if I don't see them on the home page, I won't be responding to any of their discussions IF they posted any - and they won't hear from me unless the respond to my discussions. The only reason why I would even look at my friends list here is to look up certain regulars' profiles to see if I missed anything. BUT if I were to send a message with the intend to delete, I'd just simply put one of these guys . . . !!!

Never respond and open those SPAM. If possible dedicate those senders as SPAM mailers. Anyhow, a final idea is to reply and SPAM the senders. ha! ha! ha! It is the time to change your account.
